29- The Maze
Abhyudit's POV
"Fuck, where is she?" I screamed, my head spinning from confusion. That cunning lady had been planning this for a long time.
I don't know how my wife is? Is she hurt? I want to see her
My whole body was trembling considering what they would do if I didn't make it on time. No no, don't think like that.
"Bhaiya, we will find Bhabhi, I know who grandmother is involved with" I heard Agastya say and turned to face him.
"Father?" I guessed and he nodded, "Father and Rajdev Pratap as well".
This was not a shocker, I knew she would betray me, for the throne.
But how low can she get by trading my wife, her grandson's wife to the enemy.
I went to the soldier's hall and stood there, everyone bowed there heads in front of me.
"We need to wage war now, there is no other option" I roared and flung my sword unsheathing it.
"Jai Bhavani" the soldiers roared.
"We will save our Queen, Maharani Chandrali" they roared and I could hear the confidence in their hearts.
"Have you found him?" I asked Dhruv and he nodded.
"Then let us go there, they should not be alerted" I said and we proceeded to reach the hidden place.
We reached the place, I had sent my father to for seclusion. There is surely something he must have done while being here.
We had news that he was near here. "Dhruv go towards the north and the others will go with you. Scatter everyone and search for any clues" I ordered him.
"But you will be alone, we can't" he said but I glared at him. "Trust me and go".
I moved towards the south direction, I disguised myself and went to the villagers.
"You know that old king, who used to reside here, he ran away and now there is news that maybe the new Queen was also kidnapped" I heard a group of people say.
"Oh my goodness, it just have been his doing. Is he so cheap to see his own daughter-in-law with those eyes" My blood boiled thinking about it.
If he does that, I myself won't know what I might do. Please, Mahadev, don't let any bastard touch my wife.
"But I am sure Maharaja Abhyudit will surely find our Queen," one of them said. "Hey, do you know there is a mad man here on the outskirts of the village and it's been only a day since he arrived" My head snapped in the direction of the voice.
Madman. This is it.
"The madman?" I asked invading their conversation. They looked at me for a while but then further said, "Yes, last night some villagers were there, but they did not return back. After checking it was found that one of them survived".
"So they were killed?" I asked and the man nodded, "The one who survived told us this morning that, they were attacked by a person. It was only one man" he said.
Who can it be?
"He was scary, how could he kill all the ten men alone" they said, no wonder they were calling him a madman. But he is a skilled warrior in my perspective.
"Where is he? So that I don't go that way" I covered up, "towards the east of the outskirts, there is abandoned cave. He is there, don't go and warn others as well".
I nodded and went straight to my horse, I rushed to the place. I had sent a signal to Dhruv so that he could come here soon.
I noticed the cave, it appeared as if it arrived here recently. It looked new, I had never known about it in the past. To send my father here, I had thoroughly inspected the whole village, and I had no information about this.
I sighed and went inside, it was dark. I had to be very careful.
The place is silent, which means he is not here at the moment or he is sitting still. I could hear no commotion, no one else could be here other than him.
I took slow steps, my senses were on high alert.
One wrong move and I could die.
"Haha" I swung my head in that direction, I could not see him but I could feel a presence. "Who are you?" I questioned.
"Your death", "Shit" I cursed as he attacked my bicep with his sword.
Can he see me? I frowned, this is going to be annoying.
"Where is Chandrali?", "Who?" fucker.
"I only know that I need to kill anyone who enters here and you are next" I heard him say and smirked.
"You can't kill me" I roared and the next second I flung my sword skillfully. I know how to attack in darkness and he screamed.
It was easy to kill him with a few more swift motions of my sword and he was dead. I could feel the life around me dying.
I saw a lamp there and look it, I started walking again. I walked and walked and saw an exit. I went to inquire, just as I thought.
This was connected to grandmother's chamber. I could see the river flowing in my direction.
This was a maze, I was again and again repeating in a loop. And this was just a trap, they had escaped from here already.
Chandrali's POV
I opened my eyes slowly, it was painful. I held my head, it felt like it was crushed. I looked around to see a beautiful room, decorated and well-furnished.
I registered my surroundings, I was laying comfortably on the bed.
I could not remember what happened? How and why I was here.
Yes, I was attacked. But why was I laying here peacefully then? I was confused.
I tried to stand up slowly but found that my legs hurt like hell, I uncovered my saree a little to see that my legs were wounded severely, they were bandaged.
I was, I was dragged. I remember it.
My tears flew thinking about my husband, I am scared. How can this happen? I was so careful but still, I ended up here.
I should have told Maharaj about this, it was not the correct decision. I wondered how he must be feeling, was he angry with me? No, he must be worried now.
The door opened and I corrected my clothes. I tried to stand up and held the vase nearby for protection.
"Anahira, I have waited so long" I heard a manly voice and frowned.
Anahira? This name.
As the figure uncovered from the darkness, I saw his face, my whole world collapsed. The man standing next to him was my brother.
