Rimuru POV:

After I was warped back to the past, I instinctively knew that I had arrived at a different spot than before. At the same time, I noticed that a mass of energy, capable of destroying the world, was approaching my destination. However, I didn't panic and swallowed it whole in one gulp. It was surprisingly delicious. If I had to guess, it was as much energy as it would have taken me to use the skill if the voice of the world hadn't already refilled my energy.

"Who are you?!" It was probably a surprised shout from Yuuki, who stood behind me. Even though I thought the skill would return me to the same time as my disappearance, it seems that a little bit of time had passed since I was gone. Maybe it was to give the best possible winning chances; I probably will never know. It could indeed be said that I arrived at the perfect time. It definitely couldn't be called an error. I can see that much even if I had never done something like this before. In addition to my perfect timing, nobody seemed to be hurt.

"Rimuru, is that you?" A beautiful woman with rainbow-colored hair asked me. I was about to ask the same question back, but then I realized that she might be Ramiris from her atmosphere and her slightly foolish look. "Ramiris, is that you? You've grown up," I commented offhandedly towards her.

"Geeee!!! Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupidd!! You made us all so worried, you know!!" Ramiris yelled at me.

"Yeah, that's right! To hide just to scare us, there is a limit for a prank. Even I believed that you had been hurled to the future since your presence had completely gone from the world, you know!!" Milim said in support of Ramiris's statement.

"You easily went and nullified our greatest attacks.... And what is with that appearance? Haven't you also grown up?" Guy commented in a neutral manner of speaking.

Even if not much time had passed, my disappearance caused them all to be worried. Besides that, the big energy from before was, in fact, an all-out attack from the others towards Yuuki. Even though it feels wrong now that I know that, an attack of that power will only strengthen Yuuki, so I think it's for the best. More importantly though, what does Guy mean? After I thought so, I looked at my own appearance.

Sure enough, my body now looked like that of an adult instead of the teenage form from before. Ciel-san had the whole time continued to create more energy when I was unconscious, so my guess would be that that's the reason for the change in my appearance. "Oh well, don't sweat the small stuff. The fight isn't over yet, so I'll bring an end to Yuuki. You guys just need to wait for a bit." With that said, I finally turned towards Yuuki.

Without saying a word, Guy sheathed his sword and folded his hands.

"Guy?" Ramiris asked.

"No matter how you look at it, I don't think Rimuru will lose this fight. This is surely checkmate," Guy responded to Ramiris while shrugging his shoulders.

"Like I have said multiple times, saying something like that is a flag.... Well, there seems to be no room for a flag this time," Ramiris mumbled softly.

"Even though I have returned to my long-awaited original form, it is totally meaningless, isn't it?"

(Jeh, Ramiris was right. It did look a bit pitiful. It feels worse to think that I will be making her sad again later.)

Diablo looked very pleased, as if it were only natural for him to believe I would return. He looked at me with an ecstatic expression. (I wonder, what will happen to my body after this is all over? How will my people react to it?) Chloe looked like she was about to cry, but just as Guy did, she sheathed her sword and began to watch me. (I guess she put her trust in me.)
