As I walk into Gampel I realize I'm early. Guess I'm just excited? But for what is the question.
When I realize I'm standing in place not moving I pick up my feet and start to walk to the training room.
I'm not sure what the players will need today so I just grabbed a bunch of different things.
The random medications I'm grabbing shake in my hand when I hear the noise of the girls arriving to practice.
So I quickly grab stuff stepping into the locker room to ask if any of the girls needed anything. They did.
I spent some time before practice officially started wrapping up, and taping various limbs that belonged to the girls.
When everyone was done I followed the last person to the court, headed in Geno's direction.
He doesn't say anything to me as first just telling the girls what he wants to see from them today, but after that is done he tells me he wants me to check on Paige.
I sigh.
She is very stubborn when it comes to checking on her healing journey. I don't know if it's me but I have to force information out of her.
The girl is sitting on a chair dribbling a ball.
"How's your knee?"
"Better."
"Paige, you say that all the time. How much better than yesterday?"
"Uhh-"
As she thinks I hear a notification from my back pocket. It's a text from Eve.
Lina🩰
Lina🩰 Be prepared to be serenaded when you get home.
Roni🧀 Hello???
Lina🩰 Just wait. Trust you will love it.
Roni🧀 No please just tell me. You know I hate surprises.
Lina🩰 Fine. Way to ruin it. I learned a little something new On the guitar.
Roni 🧀 Oooooo I'm excited. Okay well I gotta go. Duty calls!
"Who you talking to?" Paige says
"Sorry, Evelina was texting me."
"How comes she doesn't come to practice anymore?"
Now that I really think about it I'm not sure. I mean I liked having her here. I guess she just doesn't want to come anymore.
"I'm not sure. But hey we are focused on you right now."
For the next couple minutes I push at Paige until she opens up enough.

When I get home later I'm greeted by Eve in the kitchen eating some Oreos.
"Not leaving any for me?"
She looks up from her phone and laughs pushing the Oreos towards me.
"So when am I being serenaded?"
"Oh yeah! Right now."
She runs to her room grabbing her guitar and sitting on the counter so she can play.
When she starts strumming the first few cords immediately recognized the song.
"Is this Jeff Buckley?" I gasp.
She nods her head starting to sing the lyrics to "Lover, you should've come over."
I immediately get up singing with her since it's one of my favorite songs.
After a couple minutes of singing and twirling around we both end the song in laughter.
"Hey. I have a question for you." I say in between laughs.
"How come you haven't come with me to practice? Do you not like going?"
"No I love going. I just thought you were comfortable and didn't need me anymore." The sound of her guitar being placed on the counter mixes in with her words.
"Eve I will never stop needing you. So you should come to the next one. You can entertain Paige."
She laughs as I walk to my room.
˚. ✦.˳·˖✶ ⋆.✧̣̇˚. Bet you didn't think we would ever get an Cam pov well I put so much work into her playlist so why not. This is kinda a filler chapter until I can figure out Eve and Paige's next interaction. Also sorry this chapter took so long I missed a couple days of school bc was sick and had work to catch up on :) Okay next chapter coming whenever I finish editing it. ♡︎ -J
