Chapter seventeen: Day 3 of GMG

Natsu POV:

I got up early so that I could catch Lucy outside the stadium again, I got everyone up so that they could get ready to go and I think I shocked Erza. She looked at me for a long long time before coming back to reality and going about her normal routine. When we got to the stadium finally it had gone exactly as planned and we met up with the Sabers. Lucy on the other hand was different today, happier even I wonder what happened just before I saw them last night. Lucy smiles at us before heading inside with her team, not even saying a word to us. Erza looks at Gray and Gray looks at Gajeel and Gajeel looks at Wendy and Wendy looks at Laxus and he looks at me, we were all dumbstruck.

Lucy POV: 

Rogue lets me sit on his lap once again while everyone gets settled in. The kabo comes on and starts the announcement for the challenge today and today they're playing hidden "From Sabertooth, Rufus. From Fairy Tail, Gray. From Mermaid Heel,  Risley. From Lamia Scale, Jura. From Blue Pegasus, Hibiki. Last but not least from Quatro Cerberus, Jäger." I hear the Kabo say and with that Rufus leaves the room and travels down to the stadium. While daydreaming and looking over at the Fairy Tail side I noticed something that I didn't know would happen in a million years...Levy was kissing Gajeel like they had no tomorrow together, I mean it was a full on make out session. I started to do a Mira fangirl thing but then Rogue started laughing at me "What's so funny?" I cross my arms and pout a little. He laughs harder and shakes his head "nothing just your weird reaction to them." I was about to kiss him when Orga looked over "Guys come look at this..." He had worry in his voice and we hurried over to the balcony where the huge Lacrima showed us Rufus. He was actually winning except he was using a lot of magic power without realizing it. Suddenly Gray appeared and they were the last two left, Gray had a huge amount of magic power left and that's why Orga began to worry. Their battle broke out and Gray was throwing everything he had at Rufus but Rufus was to fast for Gray. Gray began to get mad and even activated his second origin by accident. Suddenly the whole screen went white and the cameras had to come back into focus, when they finally did come back- an image of a standing and tired Gray was there and a very knocked out Rufus. Everyone was shocked as Rufus was carried off to the infirmary. Our whole team ran down to the infirmary as fast as we could to make sure he was okay, he was hurt badly too. We examined his body and it was filled with frost bite and cuts and scraps and multiples of bruises. I tried not to be filled with anger but I was. Orga had to leave to do his match and we all wished him luck while the rest of us stayed with Rufus. Orga beat Warcry so bad that for a second there they thought Warcry was dead. After that the day was over and we were still first but this time we had Fairy Tail hot on our heals.
