Chapter Twenty: The Marks

Lucy POV:

I stood in the bathroom of our little inn and cleaned up my tear stained face then I walked out and saw the whole team staring at me. Rogue looks at me and chuckled "They know..." I nod and walk over to the bed to pack up before we leave. Tonight was the last night we had in our inn and we leave tomorrow, I felt Rogue hug me from behind and I smile as he starts whispering sweet nothingness in my ear. I sigh happily and melt in his arms and I hear Orga make a barfing noise "fine fine, we'd better go before we end up being late. We walked to the stadium and straight to the middle of the arena which confused everyone. I looked up and saw the Fairy Tail members and they all seemed to know what was about to happen because they flashed me the Fairly Tail hand gesture thing and I shot one back although I couldn't tell if Happy was flipping my off or doing the hand gesture. Rogue moved my hair out the way and the TV lacrimas got in real close so that everyone could see, he sighed against my neck which felt so good but I tried not to look weird in front of everyone. After that he finally went in and bit down on my neck and it hurt like hell too, no blood ran down but I did get a black dragon tattoo thing on my neck which made me took totally badass. I got on my tippy toes and started hoping to god that my mark on him wasn't a freaking rainbow, I just went for it and bit down on his neck which caused him to flinch a little. I backed up a little and my mark on him was actually a turquoise dragon with stars floating around it in a black mist which I'm guessing the black mist was because of the mark on my neck. I let out a sigh of relief because it actually kind of suited him and he picked me up and twirled me around happily before pulling me into a passionate kiss of death where I couldn't breathe when he finally released me. I blush and look around at the cheering crowd, even the other guilds were cheering for us. We got out of the arena and headed up to our booth where we sat until everything finally started.

Natsu POV:

I'm the only one out of all these people that thinks this is wrong, Lucy was supposed to be with me and now that she's mated I'll never have her. I'm trapped with Lissanna forever, may as well mate her tonight. Well I did promise her that we'd marry some day, I think she'll like that a lot. I stand up and just as I'm about to go to the Sabertooth booth it all starts. There is only one game today and it's basically a battle of the guilds through the streets of Crocus. 

A/N: So yeah, I wasn't going to be Cliché on what the mark looked like. Everyone makes the mark look like scales and I said screw that because I know I wouldn't want scales on my neck.
