Mike and Lizzie were currently sitting at the dining table, eating their breakfast as fast as they possibly could earning an odd look from their older sister. "Slow down, that's disgusting." She spat out as Mike looked up at her. "Do a lot of studying last night?" The sentence came out muffled due to the amount of food Mike had stuffed in his mouth, Nancy still managed to understand what he was saying though.

"Yeah, actually, I did." Nancy answered his question not quite sure what Mike was about to say next. "What was your test on again? Human anatomy?" Nancy sent her brother a glare before kicking his shin, almost immediately Mike retaliated by repeating his sisters actions. "Hey, what's going on?"

Mike and Nancy both turned their attention towards their mother before letting out a quiet "Nothing."

Not much later the Wheeler twins had finished their breakfast and swiftly left the table as they began to make their way to the basement. "What are we gonna give El?" Lizzie whispered quietly as the Wheeler twins left the table after eating breakfast.

Mike nudged her gently and directed the blondes attention towards his pocket (which had an Eggo waffle stuffed inside of it). "Mike, it's all squashed." She muttered and the brunette boy frowned at her before shrugging. "Still tastes the same."

The blonde grimaced and rolled her eyes before letting out a quiet groan. "Boys." Often the girl wished she had female friends, not that she didn't love her friends. Of course she did, in fact she probably loved them more than she ever loved anyone. But often she would find herself in situations were she would prefer to talk to another girl.

Like when she got her first period. At first, she felt awkward even mentioning it around anyone, girls and boys, but she knew she had to tell someone about her bedsheets which had blood on it. So, she plucked up the courage to tell her mom, who gave her a tight hug making the blonde groan slightly.

It wasn't really her mom that was the problem, it was her friends. She didn't want to tell them and she didn't need to so. She didn't. They found out for themselves a few months later at a sleepover when Lizzie leaked through her pjs. Lucas let out a high pitched squeal, Dustin and Will started panicking loudly whilst Mike stood there wide eyed.

"Oh my god! OH MY GOD!"

"Holy shit!"

"Did you sit on a pin?!"

"Huh?" The girl looked down at her pj trousers and instantly covered the stained patch before running into the bathroom. Not a memory the girl particularly cherished.

"Shoot, I left my jacket upstairs. You go to the basement and give El the Eggos while I go grab it. Also tell El I said hi." The blonde spat out before making her way up the stairs and into her bedroom. She frowned when she saw that her jacket was no longer where she put it yesterday.

"Mom, do you know where my jacket is?" The blonde called out before her mom made her way to the bottom of the stairs, so her daughter could hear her better. "Yeah honey, I put it in the washing machine this morning. Why don't you wear your new sweater grandma made you?"

"Mom! That sweater is so itchy! Plus it's super big on me and it doesn't go with my outfit!" Lizzie yelled back and Karen let out an exasperated sigh. "Oh Lizzie, just find a sweater to wear, any will do, before you are late for school!"

"Okay, Tommy H. Hot or not?"  Drew looked at her friends who all replied quickly, all had the same answer. "Not."

"Thank you! You know I thought you had to be hot to be popular but now I guess you've just gotta do something to grab people's attent-" Drew was cut off by Barb who noticed Nancy was walking in front of them. "Oh sorry, gotta go guys."

Before the rest of the group could say anything, Barb had wondered off towards Nancy and the pair began quizzing each other on chemistry. "What a bi-" Rob began before Carmen cut him off. "Don't. She's our friend."

"Yet she's hanging out with Wheeler, who hasn't spoken to us since she started fucking my douchebag brother and hanging out with his weird friends." Rob groaned loudly and Cyndi nudged him. "Speaking of." The group drew their attention towards Nancy and Barb, who had now been joined by Tommy, Carol and Steve.

"Honestly, I don't know what she sees in him." Blaire shook her head and frowned. "Probably his hair. I mean, his nickname is Steve the hair Harrington." Cyndi reminded the group and Lucy piped up. "Gotta admit, he has got pretty nice hair."

"Anyways, he's having some kind of gathering at our house-" Rob began before Carmen interrupted. "You mean a party."

"Well he's calling it that but only those 4 are invited. Pretty low key for a party." He nodded towards Steve, Carol, Tommy and Nancy and Drew frowned. "What about Barb?"

"God knows. Reckon Nancy will go? I mean, it's Tuesday. She used to have a strict rule about not going out on school nights didn't she?" Blaire looked at her friends who all muttered different replies as the bell rang.

"Oh, this is weird." Dustin spoke as he looked over at Mike and Lizzie's empty desks. "First Will, do you think they've gone missing too? They're never this late." Dustin questioned quietly. "I'm telling you, their stupid plan failed."

"I thought you liked the plan?" Dustin asked as he leaned back in his chair. "Yeah, but obviously it was stupid, or they'd be here." Lucas spat out as Dustin leaned forwards on his desk

"They're probably in deep shit right about now." Lucas spoke. "Hey, what if she slept naked?" Dustin asked in a concerned tone as Lucas rolled his eyes. "Oh my god, she didn't. Lizzie gave her some pjs remember?"

"Oh, if Mrs Wheeler tells my parents..." Dustin put his head in his hands before Lucas butted in. "No way. They'd never rat us out." He defended the Wheeler twins as Dustin shrugged. "I don't know."

"All that matters is, after school, the freak will be back in the loony bin, and we can focus on what really matters. Finding Will." Lucas spoke assertively as Dustin shifted his gaze towards the classroom door. "Oh thank god." He sighed feeling relived as Lizzie waltzed into the room, before frowning again. "Hey, where's Mike?"

"I'll tell you later." The blonde spoke softly as she sat down next to Lucas. "Is he okay?" Lucas turned to her, concerned for his friend and she nodded. "Yeah, it's just...it's a long story I'll explain later."
