the chase commenced, thankfully the possessed humans didn't get into the car, but their enhanced bodies, due to the demons, still made it difficult none the less. Especially when they're parkouring the alleys and roads.

I didn't help that when Cain managed to catch up to one he would throw the crying antichrist to his other buddies making Cain follow that one. And then there was the King of Poltergeist blasting a bolt of lightning at Cain every once and a while.

Jumping over cars and swinging from light posts the squad never seemed to run out of stamina, then again, neither did Cain.

Unfortunately, Jackie wasn't that gifted.

Huffing and holding her stomach in pain the blonde had no idea how to keep up with her human shield.

Though a man with a red scooter pulled up beside her.

"What's going on? Some sort of cop chase?" He asked.

Jackie saw the scooter and came up with a fantastic idea. "Yes! Those guys kidnapped his baby and I'm trying to help! I need your scooter!" Jackie lied through her teeth.

The guy immediately gave her his vehicle. Jackie sped towards them. 'I'm in a damn scooter!! Going 30 mph!! How are they faster!?'

Jackie couldn't believe her eyes. And why are people treating this like a couple kids playing tag and not calling the law enforcement? Too many questions ran through her mind.

But none of them will be answered, not at this time at least. Though she'll just guess this was Gods doing and move on. Speaking of moving on she's going near fifty and STILL not catching up to them!

"Let's take this to the roofs Cain! Much more space there! Might have to watch out, we might accidentally drop~" The first demon maniacally said.

The four demons busted through the door of a large building and ran straight towards the stairs. Cain followed them just as fast.

"Distract him for me boys." The leader ordered. The other three obeyed it, the one in the far back took a lady in a suit with them.

Cain chased them up three flights of stairs until the one that snatched the woman stopped and threw her down the middle of the spiral stairs. The lady screamed to her death, fortunately that didn't happen since Cain jumped across the perfect time and caught her. He hit his back on the wall to make sure the office lady didn't feel any impact.

"Sorry for dragging you into this, hopefully you're not hurt." Cain immediately put her down and ran up the stairs again. And once again he was interrupted by a kick that came from the same possessed man that threw the woman off.

"Cain. Many of us little guys admired you from down below, now look at you. Weak. Pathetic. The man who killed just because he could. Fucked whoever he wanted, now you live a life of purity and faith. Disgusting." the Demon sneered.

"Living a life of purity is my triumph. I have seen the horrors of man, because I created them. I will not let my blade lead my life, when my heart speaks louder than the horns of Jericho." Cain preached.

"By Satan's ass, the more you talk the more I want to throw up my own corrupt soul!" The demon groaned in annoyance.

The demon grabbed the railing and used it to steady himself for a dropkick. Cain tanked it and pushed the body away making the demon fly and hit a wall.

"Ohh~ You sure you wanna be aggressive with this body? After all I ain't the only one in here." It smirked.

"Just a few bruises, all it will ultimately lead to is your specific death." Cain promised.
