The party was jumping. All of Y/n & Juju's friends and family were in a nice Airbnb in Cali. The house was packed, people were singing & dancing. And you sure can bet that everyone was eating a bunch of good food.

It was the last day of school, and both girls could finally say they graduated high school.

Juju walked through the house looking around the room in search of Y/n. As she headed into the living room, she was stopped by a relative for the fifth time that evening.

She was out of luck when she didn't see the familiar face among all of the people recreating in the wide space of the living area.

Juju tried to pay attention to what the elderly woman was saying, but her eyes couldn't help but wander around again, looking for her other half. She was once again let down as she couldn't find the Y/C/H girl anywhere. But she did end up locking eyes with Mack and sent her a "help me out" look.

Mack shook her head with a laugh as she got up from her seat making her way towards the two.

"Hey Mrs. Williams, how have you been?" Mack asked the older woman, trying not to laugh at the relief that flooded Juju's face when she came over to get her.

"Oh hey, there Mack! I was just about to show Juju all of the baby pictures I found of her & Y/n/n on this ole phone. My goodness they were so precious!"

"Ooh, I bet they were! But before you do, can I steal her for a moment? I just need a little help with something and I'll bring her right back."

"Oh sure dear, take your time"

"Yes ma'am, we'll be back!" Mack said as she dragged Juju away.

"Oh thank God... I love Mrs. Williams but she sure can talk," Juju sighed once the girls made it away from the elderly woman.

When Juju didn't get a reply she turned around to see Mack waiting expectantly with her hand out.

"Girl are you serious-"

"As a heart attack. I don't just go around saving people for free,"

Juju sighed deeply as she opened her phone case to pull out a five-dollar bill that she always kept in there, and handed it to Mack.

"I guess this will be enough," Mack muttered.

"It better be enough, you're not getting nothing else from me," Juju said she found the closest mirror, making sure her bun was still slicked into perfection.

"Aweee, that's cute!" Mack said

"What's cute?" Juju asked as she turned back around.

She looked down to see Mack with the cash she had given her, along with a Polaroid picture.

The polaroid of her & Y/n was taken on the day of the third grade's field trip of the year, and it was one of Juju's favorite memories.

FLASHBACKK (3rd grade)

"Are you terrific third-graders ready!?" The teacher said excitedly as she came on the bus, causing all of the little children to scream.

Well, all except for two. Y/n sat in her spot on the bus with a rather bored expression, and Juju sat next to her mean-mugging everyone who looked her way.

After the teacher finished taking attendance, and the bus started on the journey to their destination, Y/n felt eyes on her. She looked to her left and saw one of the boys who were sitting across from the duo looking at her with a smile. She sent a small wave towards him with a little grin, but a confused look flashed across her features when his facial expression turned to scared and he looked away quickly.
