Today is aaliyah’s funeral and marshall was sick to his stomach, he wore a suit and tried to look his best for today
A lot of people came to aaliyah’s funeral even celebrities came to pay their respect most of the celebrities were the ones that did a collab song or did a movie with her like rihanna, jay-z, cher, janet jackson, destiny’s child, boyz 2 men, dre and nicole, D12, Curtis, Snoop dogg, ice cube, LL cool J and many more, all of aaliyah’s family members came
Marshall, bea, tony, priscilla, janet, selena, whitney and ray all sat in the front row, even marshall’s manager, paul came he loved aaliyah very much she was like a daughter to him
Marshall’s was shaking like crazy he felt so sick and sad, bea saw how he was and she hugged him tightly

“It’s gonna be okay, we’re here for you sweetheart” Bea whispered, marshall nodded his head and wiped his tears away

Dre, D12, Snoop dogg, ice cube and curtis performed a song that they wrote for Aaliyah
Ray also performed a song that he wrote for her called 22 years after a lot of people performing songs for aaliyah, tony went up to say a speech

Bea looked at Marshall “Do you wanna go up and say something?” she softly asked
Marshall nodded and she helped him go up the steps to the podium

Marshall took a deep breath then he looked over the podium and saw aaliyah’s casket, it was open so he saw aaliyah. He started to cry

“Well…um…i wasn’t sure that i wanted to come here to talk but it’s the right thing to do and i love my wife very, very much. Aaliyah was very different from others, she was honest, caring, humble and real. She didn’t care for money, fame or material things she just wanted to be happy and make it in life, she wanted to be the greatest wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and artist, she wanted to be a mother but she couldn’t have that. Aaliyah never saw herself as the Queen of R&B or the princess of rap, she saw herself at Aaliyah Rivera Mathers, many people ask what’s it’s like to be a widower, the death of a spouse is different than other losses, in the sense that it literally changes every single thing in your world going forward. When your spouse dies, the way you eat changes. The way you watch TV changes, your friends change or disappear entirely, your family circle changes, your financial status changes. So does your job situation change, It affects your self-worth, your self-esteem, and your confidence.
Your rhythms, the way you breathe, your mentality, your brain function, your physical body, your hobbies and interests. Your sense of security. Your sense of humor, your sense of trust, EVERY SINGLE THING CHANGES. You are handed a new life that you never asked for and that you don't particularly want. It is the hardest, most gut-wrenching, horrific, life-altering of things to live with and I wouldn't wish that on anyone, not even my worst enemy. Aaliyah i love you and i pray that one day i’ll get to see you again” then marshall looked at aaliyah and went back to his seat
Dre went up and also said his goodbyes, finally after everyone said their goodbyes
Everyone had aaliyah’s favorite flower, a tulip and left it on top of her casket
They buried her and marshall went home and went out of his mind drunk, he took some pills then went to bed with his heart full of pain

(FIVE WEEKS LATER)
SEPTEMBER
Ray kept calling marshall to see how he was but he wasn’t answering any calls, Dre called so did royce but marshall just wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone
Dre lost his son recently to an overdose so dre had been going through a lot, Tony and bea helped plan the funeral, Dre now knew the pain that tony and bea were going through. Marshall went to the funeral and supported Dre even though dre lost his son he still worried for marshall
