After about twenty minutes, (but what felt like hours to you) you, Tim, and Brian had arrived at the house they and Toby had resided in. It wasn't huge, but it was certainly big enough to fit the three men. You immediately ran towards the door, but Tim grabbed your waist and pulled you back.

"Hey, hey, hey! You can't just go running in there. If you did that while the Operator was there, you would have been killed the second you stepped into the door. Let me and Brian scout it out real quick."

Brian spoke up.

"While you wait, hide under the porch. If the Operator isn't home, he's bound to be somewhere in these woods, if he sees you out here, well, you know what will happen."

Brian lifted up a few floorboards in the porch. It was just big enough for you to climb into and hide in. Although, you didn't really want to. You could only imagine how many spiders and rats were living under there.

Tim could notice your obvious discomfort, and began to speak.

"It's either this or you die before you even get to lay your eyes on Toby. Your choice."

After hearing this, you went over and crouched down and crawled into the confined space.

"Me and Tim will come open the floorboards once you're good to come out. If anything at all happens, just holler."

You nodded your head and Brian closed the porch floorboards over your head. After that, it was complete darkness.

You were only under there for about fifteen minutes, but seconds felt like hours and minutes felt like days. You could've sworn you felt something furry brush past your feet multiple times, and you had spotted at least three spider webs.

Eventually, Brian opened the floor boards as promised, and the light hit your eyes.

"Hey, the Operator is hunting this dumbass group of stupid teens right now, and he'll be out for a few hours. You're good to come out. Toby's upstairs."

You immediately crawled out of your hiding spot and practically darted into the house and up the stairs. Then, you saw him. Hope and love filled your eyes, but he didn't seem to feel the same way. Instead, he seemed terrified and angry.

"[Reader]...? What the fuck are you doing here?! You can't be here you have to go!"

You felt your heart sink to the floor and shatter into a million pieces. The love you felt was molded into confusion, sorrow, and rage. You had hoped so dearly that Toby would embrace you like he had before two years ago. But instead, he turned you away.

You began to slowly back away, which turned into a sprint. You ran past Tim and Brian, who seemed equally as confused.

Toby's POV:

Tim and Brian entered the house, and began to walk around. They seemed like they were looking for something, but I ignored it. They're shit packed on drugs, so they always acting like fucking airheads.

Only fifteen minutes later, they walked out of the house, only to return seconds later. Once they came back inside, I heard someone running up the stairs. When I turned around, my heart exploded out of my chest. It was [Reader].

"[Reader]...? What the fuck are you doing here?! You can't be here you have to go!"

The moment I said that, I regretted it. [Reader]'s eyes seemed to darken and his overall demeanor changed. He ran away before I got the chance to change my words.

Tears filled by eyes and my body started to shake. The love of my life was right in front of me and he slipped out of my fingers.

I ran down the stairs to talk to him but he was already gone. Tim and Brian looked at me like I just ate shit off the floor.

"Why the fuck would you bring him here? He could've been killed but you two shit brains couldn't process that."

I yet again regret my wording choices. I just couldn't help it. I was so angry at myself and the world.

"You literally told us to bring him here! The hell are you talking about?" Tim retaliated.

"I told you to check on him, not bring him here!'

I ran out of the house in hopes of finding [Reader}.

Author's Note: Soooo I have a few things. First off is that I am aware of the whole trope/idea of the proxies living in a run down mansion, but I thought it would make more sense if they lived in the house that Alex found Masky in in the Marble Hornets series. Second off is that the reason I haven't been describing Toby's tourettes is because I'm afraid I'll inaccurately portray the disorder, and the last thing I want to do is offend anyone. I'm on the fence about it because on the other hand I want to add the representation, so lmk.
