You were smoking a cigarette glad for the time you had alone with the obsidian on the night stand. You talk lightly to your.. son. You were still getting used to the situation at hand; he responds with glee everytime hearing the title. Putting out the cancer stick, Lisa leans forward waving a hand over the child to surround it in a green mist. For some reason, it made him happy bringing a complacent smile to your face each time. You only do it for a few seconds in fear someone might feel it, but as it ends, you feel a warmth at your back instantly met with a heavy weight. Your muscles contract and contort with some pain due to what appears to be new appendages. Being stiff at first, the wings were massive; the magic fades away into solid green feathers. You giggled like a young girl as you gave a little twirl having never believed such a thing could happen. You think of your boss Hektor, and how you should report it to him immediately. Would the coloration though upset him? For your safety, you decide to bring him to you instead; you quickly meandering through though your wings were too big for the door and corridor. It was an unpleasant feeling to be squished between two walls. You opened the door slightly getting the bouncer's, Abraham's, attention.
" What is it sweet thing-?"
He peered through the narrow gap forming the biggest grin on his face.
" Well, look at here. You really are an Angel inside and out."
His souther accent was thick as you asked him to go get Hektor. He complied for your sake as he withdraw himself; you practically stuck and alone. You enclosed your wings around your body making it slightly better as you wait for Abraham return. After sometime, he sits back down with pride for yourself.
" Walk to his office. He feels like it'll bring in customers if seen."
" But... they're green."
" I told him that. No ones perfect Y/n."
You just nod to that before pushing yourself through into the clearing. You blushed as all eyes are instantly on you causing a whisper spree of sorts. You walk quickly trying to be confident with yourself, and hiding most of your struggle, you were able to enter his office. He seems happy with the results; Hektor smiling almost seems strange for it was rare.
" You know, few have wings anymore. Especially the Arch Angel kind."
" Is that why they're so large?"
He nods saying that would be all, and you make your exit nearly bumping into a customer. You apologized immensely, but as you do, you noticed how he wasn't really paying attention. After a minute, he finally speaks snapping out of his trance and fixation on you.
" It's fine. I don't believe I've seen you before. My name is Valentine. Yours?"
" Y/n. It's nice to meet you. I hate to say it, but I have to return to my room now."
He says goodbye as you head in Abraham's direction. Sighing, Valentine walks inside Hektor's office as he runs a hand through his bark brown hair in irritation; Hektor wondering what it was this time.
" I've never seen a green Angel before."
" She's a hybrid. What do you want Valentine?"
" I wanted to discuss about you joining our ranks again. With your occult involved, we can tip the scales."
" We are a solo establishment-."
Valentine slams his hands against his desk as he's tired of the same excuse.
" The Wickeds are causing havoc and chaos, and we need all hands on deck if we want to end their antics. Why do you have to act all high and mighty all the damn time?"
" It's called a legacy."
Valentine scoffs his sky blue eyes filled with fury.
" Some legacy if its based on refusing to protect people. Some fucking legacy if it involves on buying stolen girls from the black market-."
" Your place is no damn different."
" I don't have sex workers and whores. It's customers fucking customers. I just provide a room... How much for the Angel?"
Hektor starts to laugh at the fact he's trying to strike a business deal after insulting him.
" Go to Hell Valentine."
" We're already there Hektor. You're just blind to it."
Valentine finally leaves never expecting to see you again.
Or so he thought.
