The most exciting news in these three months was finding out Lydia was pregnant. I was so happy for Alessandro and Lydia, I knew they would be great parents since they were great people. Edward and I met them a few times, Lydia was the sweetest.

Also, Edward and I were finally in an open relationship. Everybody at the office knew about our relationship. We could finally kiss, and touch each other in public without worrying about other people.  Since we did miss a lot of days from work, these three months, we were very consistent with our work. My father took his position back as CEO at his company. Edward and I were really happy. Everything was going great, until the private detective, Edward and I hired to extract information about Dad's past, called.

He realized he didn't look too deep into this before, but looking back, he realized something. In Russia, Dad went by another name. The private detector did inform Edward that, but what he didn't realize was that the sex trafficking business in the US was also under that fake name.

Turns out, Mother was right about one thing. Dad did own a sex trafficking business. Everything fell into place. Dad did get Mother killed, so she won't tell me the truth. Mother and Arthur died for nothing. Everything was a lie.

Edward and I were on our way to Dad's office to confront him about this.

I couldn't help but cry. I blamed Mother for trying to kill Dad. Whatever Dad told me was a lie. Yes, She was not the best mother or person, but she didn't deserve to die. I also get why she called me a slut, I was dating my step-brother, of course, she'd think that.  She had never been the best at communicating.

"Madison, your mother was still in the wrong. Yes, your father owned those businesses, but we don't know the whole truth yet," Edward rubs my thigh, to comfort me. "I know, but still," I sigh.

We reach Dad's office building and after parking, quickly rush to his office. No one dared to stop us, since everyone knew me as Elijah's daughter, and Edward managed this business when we thought dad was 'dead,'

Honestly, I do wish he died in that plane crash. He deserved it. If he really is into sex trafficking. He had ruined the lives of many people and deserves nothing less than death. I never thought I'd say this, but I loathe my own father. I despise him, with all my fucking heart. I can't believe, there was a time when I looked up to him.

"Oh, Madison, Edward, what are you guys doing here?" Dad says, startled since Edward and I barged in through the door, without a warning. "You own a sex trafficking business?" I confront him. His eyes turn dark instantly, "Who told you that?" He asks, "Doesn't matter, do you own one or not?" I ask while Edward stands beside me, not interrupting. He knew I needed to talk to Dad.

"Of course, I don't," He fakes a smile, his dark eyes saying the opposite, probably telling the truth. "Don't lie to me," I scream. "Madison, Don't raise your voice at me, or,"

"Complete that sentence, and I will put a bullet through your head," Edward threatens in his Icy cold tone. "You guys have been lied to!" Dad exclaims. "Madison, do you really think I'd own a business like that?"

"Yes, Yes, I fucking do, now tell me the truth," Dad sighs, in frustration, running his hand through his hair. "Yes, Yes I fucking own a sex trafficking business," He mocks our tone. "What will you do about it?" He rolls his eyes, annoyed.

"Do you know how much those women and kids suffer?" I yell, feeling betrayed. I trusted Dad, I trusted him, yet he lied to me. Betrayed me. "I don't care, it brings in good money?"
