Jesse POV
Somehow, I wasn't that excited for the seniors party Cierra was throwing this weekend. I mean, I was at the minute Holland told me about it, but my head got missed up after what Dean had done. I was disturbed the whole time after.
When I saw him standing with a girl who looked like him somehow at the school's front yard, I was alerted. Maybe she's his sister or a girlfriend? He said he's bi after all. He might be a one manwhore. Why would I even care!
He didn't show up since he left after her, which was weird. Dean used to skip days at school, and I never cared, actually. But when I think about it, where'd he go? He always seemed shady to me.
On the day of the seniors' party, the boys came over to my house. We spent a few hours playing video games and hanging around. Holland and Malik kept going through my wardrobe, spreading my shirts all over the room. It was chaos.
"You should be wearing something edgy and casual to represent your personality." Holland tossed a shirt away, grabbing another.
Milo scoffed while he was focusing on the game he was playing. "Personality! Yeah." He giggled after. I was playing to, giving zero fucks about what I'm wearing to the party. I'd just put on my favorite shirt and tailored pants, and that's it.
"I think a party boy outfit would be better. Something colorful but edgy as well." Malik picked a purple shirt, i think was way back forgotten in there. Hell no!
Holland seemed to give up. "You'll turn him into a gay boy this way. Just drop it." He said while throwing himself on the bed behind me and Milo.
"He needs to dress up in smart casual. That's Cierra's type of style." Milo said, pressing on his controller, extra focused on the game. "Did you guys call Dean? Is he coming?" He said out of the blue.
"I texted him, but the motherfucker hasn't responded to any of my messages. He just saw the texts, and that's it. Same for the group chat." Holland responded casually.
"Wow! It's been two days already." Malik commented while going through some manga.
I listened but chose not to interfere. I don't wanna seem interested in his business. Who cares!
"He might show up at the party, who knows. I texted him the time and place." Holland shrugged.
"Yeah, talking about the party, shouldn't we get going?" Milo looked at his watch, leaving the controller after he won a round as he always does. I followed him.
In a few minutes, I was dressed up in a black t-shirt and beige baggy jeans and my favorite black Nike dunks. I left a bile of clothes on my bed, knowing for sure that It'll be gone when I got back home and my mom won't scold me.
I got in the passenger seat of Milo's car next to him, while Malik and Holland took the back seat. We jammed to some hits while on our way to the party.
Holland gave me a few steps to use while hitting on Cierra. Of course, since he's the expert playboy among us. I was going to follow the instructions anyway. Things might finally turn out good this time.
"Give me a month to make you fall for me, Jesse. And if it didn't work, then I promise I'll set you up with Cierra myself."
Fuck! Why would I recall his words at this moment out of all. I rubbed my head nervously. I assured myself that he won't be showing up to the party, so there's nothing to worry about. I even scoffed at his confidence. The way he asked me to fall for him? What in the actual fuck was he thinking!
I'm not gay, and I'll never be. If it was a joke, I would've let it slip, but he was dead serious. The way he was too close to me and the way his eyes flickered at mine. I gulped to the memory. Fuck, he's intimidating.
