Olympus - Preliminaries

With the green light to enter the games, Phil walked them through the rules.

"All right, here's the rules. No cheating, you can't call in outside help, no killing, and only teams of 3. You can swap between members in between matches," Phil said.

"Got it!" Everyone said.

"All right, you guys get ready here." Phil was going to leave, until stopping and turning around again. "Oh, and just a warning, some real sketchy people entered the games. Watch yourselves." He left.

"Ok, so who's going to be the ones in the games?" Goofy asked.

"ME!" Everyone except Courage raised their hands. When they looked at him, he was holding a banner he just made that had their faces.

"I'll just watch," He said. "I got an idea! Let me choose who'll enter the preliminaries!" 

"Oh please, why should we let you pick?" Donald huffed.

"Hey, Courage is a smart dog, you know!" Bart defended, scratching Courage behind the ears. Donald huffed, but allowed it. Courage looked it over, and decided the first team.

"Sora! Cassie! And Goofy!" Courage decided. 

"Aw, what about me?" Bart complained. Courage patted his back to comfort him.

"Next time, buddy." He pouted. Donald really didn't care.

Cassie, Sora and Goofy got ready and entered the arena. Courage, Donald and Bart were watching from the stands, cheering and holding the signs.

"Alright, who's rear are we kicking first?" Sora asked. He was answered, as to their shock, Soldier Heartless and Blizzard Nocturnes spawned!

"The HEARTLESS?!" Everyone gasped. Courage yelped and hit under the seats. "How did these things get into the games?!" Cassie asked.

"I don't know. But let's get them!"

MATCH 1! SHADOW SCOUT!

The fight was quick and easy. Sora took care of the Nocturnes with his new thunder spell, while Cassie and Goofy defeated the Soldiers quickly and easily. After they were done, they shared a high five as their friends cheered with them. 

They met with Phil shortly after in the lobby during the intermission. "You guys aren't heroes yet, but you're not too bad," Phil admitted. 

"Told ya we're good," Sora grinned, everyone nodding.

"Yeah, thanks to my training!" The satyr boasted, making everyone roll their eyes with a chuckle. Then, they heard footsteps. They turned around to see a tall man walk in. With long spiky blonde hair, a long red cape that had tears at the edges, strapped belts, brown gloves, a blue extension on his right arm, metal bracelets all over, and a very large holster for a very large sword. He turned to Sora, who looked at him back with curiosity. The man then turned away and left. "Huh. Looks like one tough guy. Maybe you'll face him in the games," Phil commented. Courage whimpered at the idea of his friends fighting a guy with that big of a sword!

"Wonder what he's here for," Sora wondered out loud. They shrugged their thoughts off and walked into the arena for the next match.

MATCH 2! SINISTERS!

Now they were fighting groups of Shadows. Shadows being low-level Heartless, it was easy for them to defeat the whole group, all in a minute.
