In the beginning, it was all laughter and joy
Time spent together felt like a dream come true
Was it simply a facade, or did we truly enjoy?
As the days passed, the cracks started to show
Fun turned to silence, smiles to frowns
Until the air was thick with tension and doubt
Nostalgia for the past, when we were free to clown
It's hard to believe we've fallen so far out
Until it wasn't, we had each other's backs
Love and support seemed to be in endless supply
It's a shame how quickly it all turned to attacks
Now we're left wondering why
Try as we might, we couldn't keep it together
Underneath the surface, our bond fractured
Now we're left with memories that only tether
It was fun until it wasn't, our hearts captured
Not all good things are meant to last
Tears and regrets now fill the space
It hurts to think about the past
But maybe it was all just a phase
