Upon the shores of love, we once did stand,
Hand in hand, hearts entwined, united we did land.
You whispered sweet nothings, promises so grand,
But now you're gone, like shifting desert sand.
You said you loved me, I believed it to be true,
But where are you now, why did you bid adieu?
Was it just a game, a fleeting rendezvous?
Or did our love fade like morning dew?
I remember the days when your smile would light up the sky,
The way your laughter would make the birds fly high.
But now all that's left is a tear in my eye,
As I wonder what went wrong, why did our love die.
Was it my fault, did I do something to chase you away?
Or was it just fate's cruel hand, leading us astray?
I long for your touch, your presence, night and day,
But all I have now are memories, fading away.
You said you loved me, but now I'm left alone,
A broken heart, a shattered dream, a silent moan.
I pray for peace, for closure, for love to be shown,
But all I hear in the stillness is my own sorrowful groan.
So goodbye my love, wherever you may be,
I'll always cherish the moments you spent with me.
But now it's time to set my heart free,
To heal, to move on, to be who I'm meant to be.
