In life, friends come and friends go,
Their reasons for leaving, we may never know.
The bond we once shared, now faded away,
Leaving me wondering, why did you stray?
Was it something I said, or something I did?
Was it a misunderstanding, or simply a bid
To move on from our friendship, so strong and true?
Leaving me feeling lost and blue.
We used to laugh and talk for hours on end,
You were my confidant, my forever friend.
But now you've moved on, without a backward glance,
Leaving me here in a lonely trance.
I miss the memories we used to make,
The inside jokes, the laughs that we'd fake.
I thought our friendship was built to last,
But now it seems like it's all in the past.
Perhaps our paths have simply diverged,
Leading us in different directions, unmerged.
Or maybe there's something I failed to see,
That caused you to want to break free.
I wish I could understand the reasons why,
But sometimes in life, friendships die.
I'll cherish the moments we had together,
And hold onto the memories that will last forever.
So farewell, my friend, wherever you may be,
I'll always remember the bond between you and me.
Though you've chosen to stop being my friend,
I'll always hold you in my heart until the very end.
