Epilogue

HOLY FUCK OVER 20k WORDS! 

I am so sorry this took so long to get out there guys. I was away the last weekend, and then this week I was SWAMPED with work for school, and some other personal stuff was happening that just had me shutting down every day. My apologies, I am feeling better now.

There are a few side stories I have written already. I will publish at least one along with the epilogue here for you guys. 

This is the longest chapter in the series, as it has the epilogue, and some side shit that happened over the years with Laylana and the others in her story. Buckle up, cause I wrote some emotional shit in here. 

Warning: This chapter is both happy, and angsty at the same time. There is also going to be an area with smut in it, which will be marked if you do not want to read it.

Life was relatively peaceful after Laylana had arrived back at Camp Half-Blood, alive with Calypso. Laylana had returned to her life in New York with her parents, brother, Annabeth, and Leo. They watched Percy and Annabeth graduate high school together before they moved out to New Rome, insisting that the two of them were welcome to follow and live with them if they decided to go to college there. 

Leo and Laylana managed to make it through their last year in high school with little to no issues. Sure, there were the occasional monster attacks, but the couple worked together better than they ever did before. Now, they stood many rows apart from one another, both dressed in their graduation gowns and caps. Behind them, somewhere in the crowd, was the whole Jackson family - Sally, Paul, Estelle, and Percy - with all of their friends cheering them on. Piper and Jason managed to make it, though not without making their best friends promise they would attend their own graduation ceremony in a few weeks. Frank and Hazel traveled from New Rome to watch them as well, extending the congratulations from Reyna, Thalia, and some other friends from Camp Jupiter. Nico, Will, Calypso, Grover, Nyssa, Jake, Harley, and even Chiron managed to make it from Camp Half-Blood to watch the two walk the stage. 

Laylana stood at the stairs, waiting for her turn. She knew Leo was somewhere in another row, still seated as their last names were quite far apart. She fiddled with the sleeves of her gown and listened as the students in front of her went up to receive their diplomas. When it came her turn, all she felt was nervousness and butterflies in her stomach.

"Laylana Jackson!" her name rang across the announcements. People clapped as she walked across the stage, but then she could hear the loud cheers and yells from her family and friends. She caught a glimpse of them; her mom holding up a sign with her name on it which made her shake her head in embarrassment. Annabeth had a camera out and was snapping pictures the whole way. Percy was probably the loudest in that bunch. She faintly heard him yell "that's my sister!".

She could also hear her mortal friends in the crowd of students, but her attention was focused on her loving boyfriend, who was also cheering and whistling from his seat, no doubt earning some glares from the ones sitting next to him. She walked the stage, taking her diploma in hand and shaking hands with the principal of AHS. She walked off the stage, heading back to her seat where she waited for her mortal friends' names, and her boyfriend's. 

When it came time for Leo's turn, the process seemed to repeat. "Leo Valdez!" 

When they called his name, Laylana could hear the cheers from behind her from their friends and family as he walked the stage. Laylana knew she shouldn't, but she stood up anyway and cheered loudly for her boyfriend. She didn't really care if it was against the policy, she had graduated already they couldn't take it away. Leo noticed her in the crowd and blew her a kiss, no shame in the world. She sat back down as he received his diploma and exited the stage.
