"ARE YOU CERTAIN?"—Eulalie Audrey Vacker asked Mr. Forkle, her main point of contact in the Black Swan, "Alden and his kids found her?" She had told her parents she was taking a trip to Mysterium to buy more supplies to practice for her alchemy session, which she was, but she had also purchased the supplies to make the elixirs she used both to disguise herself in the Black Swan and the ones she used regularly. On her way back to Aurora Glade, Mr. Forkle had ambushed her to speak with her about the recent developments that may need her involvement.Mr. Forkle mumbled something starting with "You kids" before answering Eula. "Fitz Vacker was the one to find her in the Forbidden Cities. So are you willing to keep a peripheral eye on her, or shall we get someone else on it?" Although Mr. Forkle would be assuming his identity of Sir Astin and might get assigned to Sophie Foster, the main subject of Project Moonlark, it never hurt to have contingencies, and Eula, as a student in the same level, would have more chances to see the girl.
"Fitz? Really? How'd they keep his registry pendant from alerting the Council to their activities? And I'm assuming if I don't take on the mission, someone will still pull strings to give her similar sessions and mentors?"
"You assume correctly. As for the registry pendant, we already had someone look into it. He's certainly not the only one who has had his registry pendant modified, and he won't be the last. Besides, Alden was probably the one to decide for it. So, you accept?"
