"Are you sure you're okay?" You asked again, seeing that he was paler than normal.

"Yes... don't worry, it's just tiredness I guess" he answered you with a tired voice.

You finally decided to stand up from your place on the couch and approached him. You placed your hands on his forehead and neck, moving them away almost instantly.

"Black, you're burning with fever"

Black tried to brush off your concern, insisting it was nothing. But you were having none of it. "No, this is serious. You need to rest," you urged, leading him to the couch grabbing a blanket, and placing yourself on the couch, placing a cushion on your back. You patted your lap, and he approached you, lying on your chest.

As Black rested his head on your chest, you could feel the heat radiating from his body. Gently, you placed the damp cloth on his forehead, hoping to alleviate some of his discomfort. He sighed contentedly at the cooling sensation, closing his eyes as he listened to the steady rhythm of your heartbeat.

You stayed like that for a while, the only sound in the room the quiet hum of the air conditioner. Eventually, Black's breathing evened out, and you knew he had fallen asleep. Carefully, you shifted so that he was lying more comfortably, making sure he was covered with the blanket before allowing yourself to relax as well.

But a hand stopped you and pulled you back to the chair. "Stay". Giggling a little, you settled down and began stroking his hair while he rested.
