At the loud thud from the dorm door I stood, grabbing my hammer from my desk drawer, carefully opening the door but at the sight of Ema laying on the ground, clearly intoxicated I let it swing open. "... Are you going to vomit?"
"Aha! I tried to look for the- I tried to unlock the door! But it fell back in me!" He laughed, a very thick Czech accent appearing as he struggled to stand, and I looked him over; hair? A mess, clothes? Thank god no gay rapists were around, cheeks flushed and his eyes unfocused. "Ohhhhh, what are we building?" He looked at the hammer in my hand, which caused him to lose the little sense of balance he had, falling into me.
"You are very drunk, and need water." I sighed, picking him up with ease since walking a drunk person was always too difficult, Ema lifting his arms to wrap around my neck, leaning back while kicking his legs like a child. "Who even let you drink this much?" I groaned, walking to the kitchen to get a glass of water. He was so light I could hold him in one arm, which was a bit of an ego boost.
"I did no such thing! I'm incredibly not drunk." He leaned up, resting his chin on my shoulder as he whispered into my ear, "but if you promise not to tell anyone, a little bit, I am." He leaned closer, till I could feel his smile on my neck, and I needed to set him down. So I turned to go to his bed, laying him down but when he continued to hold onto me with a tight grip I groaned.
"Little bit? You are clinging onto me. Skyler? Remember?" Why was my heart beating so fast. It needed to stop.
"Hello, es-Skyler," He grinned, his hold on me tightening, looking up at me, "how are you, fine? How nice, I'm very good, too. Where are we going?" He finally held my gaze long enough I started to blush what felt like more than him.
"To bed, blonde." I took a deep breath to compose my scattered thoughts, though when he rolled his eyes with a heavy sigh I scoffed, lifting my hands to his, unclasping them from behind my neck to be able to lean up. "Ugh... Do you have a complicated night routine?"
"Errr, I do not know how you mean." He let go, patting my shoulder as he stood but immediately fell forward, grabbing onto me, and I sighed, picking him up, cradling him in one arm as I walked to the bathroom, his little laugh oddly adorable as he rested his head on my shoulder. "Oh- this is fun- but I'm so happy! I had a good night! What is the point of sleeping?"
"So tomorrow can be a good day, too." I sighed, getting his toothbrush prepped.
"Every day is a good day, Skyler! You're too grumpy all the time, this is why we do not get along." He nodded, pulling his hair into his face but after I set him on the sink counter, I brushed it away, taking his jaw and opening his mouth, beginning to brush his teeth carefully.
"I'm responsible." I shook my head, "I'm also glad nothing happened to you on your way here." What. Why was I acting like some- some boyfriend.
He whined while relaxing into my hand, his eyes closing a little. "I had fun. What did you do?" He tried to slip off the counter and I blocked him with my body, and as suggestive as this position was, I couldn't even start to form any lustful thoughts towards him while he was this intoxicated, it felt wrong.
"I was studying all night, trying to ignore your girlfriend texting me." Which was something that concerned me, since she was dating Ema, Jane loved her, and she was flirting with me.
"...Oh...Pfft, whatcha' guys talk about?" He laughed, trying to slip away from me but gave up after a moment, instead wrapping his legs around my waist and I gave a defeated sigh.
