"Are we seriously considering following a stranger to a cabin out in the middle of nowhere?" Hope smarts off as they walk to the two cars.

"She says we're being hunted by demons and she's a demon hunter. Don't you think it may be smart to at least hear her out... maybe try to figure out how to protect ourselves against them?" Rob answers her. "Besides, Kenzy knows her."

"Whoa! I met her once. I can hardly say I know her." Kenzy shouts in defense.

Rob stops in his tracks and looks at his teammates, staring at him with worry-filled eyes. "Listen, it's five of us against one of her. I highly doubt she will try anything. Let's meet her and hear her out. We can at least let her show us how to defeat the demons so we know how to get away the next time they catch up to us."

No one says another word. They load into the cars and once they see Theresa pull up in her silver Toyota, they follow her onto the highway.

She leads them down winding dirt roads lined with thick, towering trees. The sun has completely disappeared, leaving the road looking like a scene out of a horror movie. Dust from the dirt stirs up from the tires and swirls through the beams of their headlights.

"Well, she wasn't kidding when she said it was secluded." Kenzy jokes.

Max laughs. "It's a good thing we're packin'."

Kenzy just rolls her eyes.

"Well, this is where I call home for now." Theresa exclaims as she leads the crew up the wooden porch to the tiny, old rustic cabin. A ginger glow from the cracked light barely illuminates the porch but they can see the old, handcrafted wood furniture on each side of the door. She unlocks the door and leads everyone inside. Once she flicks on the lights, the team glances around the cabin which is one large room. Kenzy cannot help but notice that the room looks similar to her father's storage shed. The walls are covered in newspaper clippings, printouts, missing person's fliers, large maps and parchments. The oak dining table to their right is covered in more stacks of paper and different types of weapons from knives to guns. From pile of clothes covering the couch and the over flow of dishes in the sink, the team can tell Theresa's priorities lie more in demon hunting than in house cleaning.

"What is all of this stuff?" Kenzy asks as she walks up to one of the walls and looks at the newspaper clippings hanging up.

"Demonic omens mostly.... That's how I track the demons." Theresa stands next to her.

The others join them.

"Omens? That's a scary thought." Max adds.

"It should be scary.... If demonic omens are being broken, that means the demons are planning something."

"Planning something?" Hope looks terrified.

"They don't just go around breaking omens for the fun of it. There are several biblical references that suggest the apocalypse."

"The apocalypse!" Trojan shouts.

"Don't act so surprised. We have demons and zombies walking around. We can't rule anything out at this point."

"Okay, let's just take a step back for a second." Kenzy tries to calm everyone down. "Do you know why they're hunting us?"

Theresa's eyes grow sympathetic. "Kenzy, they're hunting you."

Kenzy's worst fear surfaces the moment the words leave Theresa's lips. Her past has caught up with her once again and put her friends in danger. "Why? Why are they hunting me?"
