Ana ransacks through Kenzy's hotel room with two demons. With one hand she lifts the mattress from the bed, throws it across the room and lets out an aggravated scream. Fury from once again losing Kenzy, boils through her veins. "WHERE IS SHE?" She screams at one of the demons in the room.
"I don't know. That's her car outside." His voice shakes in fear.
"Well, she's not here now!" Ana shouts again. She then grabs the demon by the front of his shirt and tosses him across the room. "I am getting really tired of playing cat and mouse with this bitch."
She moves towards the other demon but he backs away. "We will wait here until she returns and when she does, we will bring her to you." He hopes his suggestion will satisfy Ana enough to spare his life.
Ana rolls her eyes. "Like I'm going to risk you two morons letting her get away again." She looks at him and then the other one slowly trying to stand up from where she threw him. "No, we are going to send her a little message. Then we are going to follow her. She has to go back to her father's storage shed sooner or later and when she does, we'll meet her there."
"Good idea." He tries to suck up.
"Shut up." She snaps. "Let's go." She storms out of the door with the two useless demons scurrying behind.
Rob watches Kenzy from the corner of his eye. He knows he should pay attention to the road but he notices a glow about her that has him distracted. As she gazes out the passenger side window, there is a smile on her face that he has not seen before and it is beautiful.
"What's on your mind?" He asks.
Kenzy looks at him and smiles. "I finally got answers about my father and it feels really good."
"I'm happy for you, Kenzy but you know our battle isn't over."
"Yeah, I know but now I have one less thing weighing down on me."
"Well, let's get back to the team and head home."
"We have to stop by the motel and get my car."
"Alright."
Kenzy rolls down the window and rests her head on the door, letting the wind hit her face and whip through her hair. It has been a long time since she has felt peace and even though she still has demons hunting her, she does not let any negative thoughts ruin her moment.
"What is that?" Something causes her head to perk up and her eyes are glued to a large mass of smoke in the sky beyond a cluster of trees.
"Looks like a fire." Rob answers.
"That can't be good." Kenzy says in a discouraging tone as her good moment is officially ruined.
Her fears are confirmed once Rob pulls up to the motel parking lot and they see the charcoaled frame of the building with red and orange flames shooting out of the windows and roof. The large parking lot is flooded with firefighters, cops and other men in uniform.
"That really can't be good." She repeats herself and fights an uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach.
"Well, I guess it's a good thing you didn't park right in front of your room." Rob says as he points to her car further back in the parking lot.
"I did park in front of my room... maybe it was towed out of the way."
They both shrug their shoulders and once Rob parks next to her car, they get out and stand in shock at what they are seeing.
