Chapter 48

After having dinner, Tong Yao and Lu Sicheng get into the car to go back to the base.

After minutes of silence, Lu Sicheng interrupts, "Shall we go out tomorrow to choose your wedding dress?"

Tong Yao: "Hmmm..... You'd go with me?"

Lu Sicheng: "Yeah, of course, I'd come with you."

Tong Yao: "Then let's go tomorrow....."

Lu Sicheng: "We also need to buy the rings and finalize the location."

Tong Yao: "Hmmm....."

"What 'hm'? We're going tomorrow, that's final." he says in the tone of the leader.

Having no choice, Tong Yao agrees to her fiancee.

Soon enough they reach the base.

Tong Yao was about to open the door when Lu Sicheng interrupts, "And one more thing....."

"What?" she asks with a confused look.

Lu Sicheng pauses for a moment but then he says, "Since we're already engaged..... I think I should shift to your room....."

Tong Yao: "No! I don't allow you to do that."

Lu Sicheng: "But why?"

Tong Yao: "Brother Cheng, we're only engaged, we're not married yet."

Lu Sicheng: "But, baby, I can't sleep without you in my arms."

Tong Yao: "Well, you already sleep with me."

Lu Sicheng: "But I have to go out whenever I have to change my clothes or take anything from my room--"

"Ugh, fine." she interrupts, not wanting to hear all the pointless reasons he was giving her to shift to her room.

Lu Sicheng's face lights up with a smile as he says, "Thanks."

Seeing his happy face, Tong smiles back at him and gives him a small peck on the lips.

Then she turns her head around to get out of the car. But before she could open the door, she felt someone strongly grab her neck, which forced her to turn her head around.

But before she could say anything, Lu Sicheng's lips were already on hers. Although she was surprised by his action, she replied to it like nothing.

They kept kissing until they were out of breath. Lu Sicheng caresses her head and tugs her hair behind her ears. Then he says, "You're becoming hotter day by day, dear."

Tong Yao's cheeks turn red as she replies, "Lu Sicheng, you're such a flirt!"

Lu Sicheng: "Only to you, dear..... I love you so much."

"I love you too." she replies before kissing him once again.

They enjoy a few moments together before finally entering the base.

Lu Sicheng quickly takes out all his important stuff from his room and was about to carry them to Tong Yao's room, when he meets Little fatty and Xiao Rui at his room door.

Little fatty: "What are you doing brother Cheng?"

Lu Sicheng: "Can't you see? I'm shifting my things."

Xiao Rui: "Oh, come on. Don't you remember what happened a few days ago?"

At first he gets confused but soon a flashback of his fiancee's mom screaming runs through his head.

Lu Sicheng: "Nah, I don't think such things will happen..... And I'm here to solve everything."

Xiao Rui: "Beware, I'll shave your head if you get our Mid pregnant!"

Lu Sicheng walks over to Tong Yao's room saying, "Nah, don't worry about that. Nothing's gonna happen to her until I want to."

"You-" Xiao Rui says, but the door of Tong Yao's room shuts closed before he could complete.

Lu Sicheng opens Tong Yao's wardrobe and places all his things inside.

Then he turns around to see Tong Yao sitting on the bed with her mobile phone in her hands. He noticed that there were some sounds coming from her phone, which was probably from a video call.

"Who are you talking to?" he asks.

"Oh, is that brother Cheng? Brother Cheng you're here?" Jin Yang says over the phone.

"It's Jin Yang?" he says recognising the voice.

Tong Yao: "How do you recognise her voice?"

Lu Sicheng approaches her on the bed and replies, "Because I talked to her to make the best proposal for you."

Jin Yang: "So since you two are here, I should leave you two alone. Enjoy the night."

Tong Yao's face reddens hearing her words. She replies what her bestie meant.

Lu Sicheng: "You too."

Jin Yang ends the call from her side. Tong Yao places the phone on the bedside table.

Then they both fall sleep in each other's embrace.

The next day

Tong Yao wakes up to see herself tightly wrapped in Lu Sicheng's embrace.

She carefully looks and traces his handsome facial features. His nose, his jawline, his cheeks.....

Then suddenly Lu Sicheng kisses her forehead.

"You're awake?" Tong Yao asks, realising that she had woken him up.

Lu Sicheng slowly opens his eyes and says, "Am I really that handsome that you have to trace my facial features everytime I sleep?"

Tong Yao giggles and replies, ".......You are....."

Lu Sicheng smiles at her and says, "Come on, get up now. You know that we have to go out today for our wedding shoping."

Tong Yao: .....

Tong Yao just looks up and stares at the ceiling.

Not getting a reply from his fiancee, Lu Sicheng asks, "What's wrong?"

Tong Yao: "I still can't believe I'm marrying you."

Lu Sicheng: "You'll believe it once you get married..... I can't wait to spend my entire life with you."

Tong Yao looks into his eyes and says, "Brother Cheng, you're the best." Then she hugs him tightly.

Lu Sicheng: "What's there to get so emotional about?"

Tong Yao tightens her grip around him and replies, "I just want you."

Lu Sicheng chuckles and hugs her back, securing her tightly in his arms.

😵 I'm so tireddddddddd 😩😴. It's literally 2:30 am and I haven't slept at all. By the way guys, like I said before, updates for the present will be very very slow because I'm a sleeping sloth 🦥.
