After a short drive, Tong Yao and Lu Sicheng reach the bookstore.

Lu Sicheng parks the car and both of them get out of the car.

Tong Yao says, "You wait here, I'll be fast." and gets inside the store while Lu Sicheng stands just outside the glass door, watching each and every move of his fiancee.

Seeing Tong Yao there, Wen Sheng calls her, "Oh hey, dear. What brings you here today, beauty?"

On recognising Wen Sheng's voice, Tong Yao turns her head around to see him waving at her. She smiles and approaches him.

"Oh, it's you..... I'm here to return this book. Sorry, I bought it by mistake." she says, handing him the book she wanted to return.

Wen Sheng: "Oh, it's okay. You don't need to be sorry for that. And we're friends now, aren't we? So no need to be so formal..... You want to return this book? Just wait a minute. I'll check it out for you."

Tong Yao just smiles at him and waits for him to complete the procedure.

A little while later

Wen Sheng says, "Here. Thank you for shopping with us.", looking directly into her eyes with love.

"Thank you." Tong Yao says, smiling and turns around to leave the store.

As soon as Tong Yao approaches Lu Sicheng, he says, "What's with this guy? Did you see the way he was looking at you?"

Tong Yao: "Hm? Why? We're just friends....."

Lu Sicheng: "Friends? Did you notice the way he was staring at you? That love-filled-gaze?"

Tong Yao: "Stop being jealous, Lu Sicheng. We're just friends, nothing more than that."

Lu Sicheng: "Sure?"

Hearing this word Tong Yao gets angry. She shouts, "What are you trying to say, Lu Sicheng?! Do you I'm cheating on you?! You don't even trust me!"

Lu Sicheng: "No, no, that's not what I mean--"

"Then, what do you mean?!" Tong Yao interrupts.

Lu Sicheng: "Aiya, listen to me. First of all, I'm not saying that you're cheating on me. Take that thought off your head! I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with you. I'm saying that he was looking weirdly at you. I don't like that gaze. And that's all I mean."

Tong Yao stayed silent, not knowing what to say. She had misunderstood him.

But a single word leaves her lips.

"Sorry."

Lu Sicheng: "Oh ho, there's no need to be sorry dear. I understand, what I said could also have a different meaning, although I didn't mean it like that. Now be a good girl and let's get back to the car."

Hearing his words, Tong Yao smiles at him and holds his hand and they start walking towards the car.

Lu Sicheng: "But remember, be careful with that guy. Don't let him do anything wrong."

Tong Yao: "I know."

After getting seated int the car, Li Sicheng starts driving.

Tong Yao: "Where are we going now?"

Lu Sicheng: "To the airport....."

Tong Yao looks at him in confusion, asking, "Why?"

Lu Sicheng: "You forgot? Don't you remember I told you last week that my mom is coming today? We'll pick her up."

Tong Yao simply nods her head and waits for them to reach the airport.

After reaching the airport

Soon enough, Mrs. Lu opens the gate of the car on arriving.

"Oh, hi Yao Yao. You're here too." Mrs. Lu says, while getting into the car.

"Hello, aunty." Tong Yao greets with a smile.

Mrs. Lu says, "I'm seeing you after so long. You look so pretty, dear." while pinching her cheeks.

Tong Yao: "Thank you, aunty....."

Mrs. Lu: "No, no, you can't call me aunty. Call me mom."

"......mom......" Tong Yao shyly says.

"Good..... Here. I brought this for you." Mrs. Lu says handing Tong Yao a packet.

"Thank you..... Mom....." Tong Yao says and begins to take out the gift from the packet.

Tong Yao had not expected this to come out of packet.

It was a gold chain set, shining brightly.

"It's beautiful....." she says.

Mrs. Lu: "You like it?"

"I love it!" Tong Yao says with shining eyes and a happy smile.

Mrs. Lu: "I got this especially made for Lu family's daughter in law. Just for you."

Tong Yao: "Thank you so much..... Mom......"

Lu Sicheng smiles hearing their conversation. They hadn't known each other for long..... Yet it sounded like if they knew each other since childhood.

Mrs. Lu: "Now, son. Come on, take me to the base."

Lu Sicheng became none other than her personal driver.

After reaching the base, Mrs. Lu meets all the members of ZGDX. She also goes to have a discussion for summer championship with Xiao Rui.

Then she goes to Tong Yao's room and has a nice talk with her.

Later she decides to go back to the company for some important work.
