i sat at the bar alone. it wasn't an uncommon thing, but usually i'd be accompanied by somebody.
many people tried to talk to me honestly but none of them caught my eye like one green-eyed woman who i could always count on finding sat on the last bar stool with a multiple shot glasses surrounding the bar in front of her. she always seemed to be celebrating something but i was never too sure what.

sometimes her eyes would meet mine, not for a long time but for a moment. she'd hold it as long as she could, glancing me up and down like she wanted to pounce on me but it would always get cut short. sometimes it'd be the group of women she'd usually be drinking with talking to her but mostly it was the fact that as soon as i'd felt my face turn red i'd would look away as fast as i could. Her beautiful green eyes made me drown every time. i'd do anything just to know her name let alone talk to her.

i was brought out of my thoughts when a deeper voice than my own started talking.

"well aren't you just gorgeous, can i buy you a drink?"

"uhm no thank you" i responded, not even bothering to find out who the voice belonged to. i looked around again to try and catch a glimpse of the woman who always caught my attention, a sad look was visible when i realise she was no longer sitting in her usual spot.
"you looking for someone?" that same voice responded, more cocky now than before.
i stopped taking sips from my drink when i realised who had made the offer to buy me one a few minutes ago. the girl i admired from across the bar, her face full of amusement as l sat with no response.

"I'm Lucy. what's your name?"

Lucy. huh it definitely suited her well. "i'm y/n and yes i'd actually love if you'd buy me a drink" i smiled back.

she smirked, seemingly proud of herself as she could definitely sense my nerves. "you never answered my question, who were you looking for?" the smirk permanently plastered on her lips was enough to drive me crazy.
i was trying to find the words when she leaned into my ear "don't worry love, i know you were looking for me"

we spoke for around half an hour before i realised she was staring at me intently, looking me up and down just like she always would from a distance.

"why do you always look at me like that?" i asked, genuinely curious whilst i directed my stare to the drink covered floor. her confidence made me nervous.

"y/n, i see you in here all the time. i don't really party too much anymore but seeing you in here makes me always come back. you're the only reason i keep coming back to this place." i smiled as she placed her hand on my thigh, "i can't stop looking at your lips, i love how nervous i make you"

i paused a moment, my mind racing to find the right words. "lucy" i let out in a soft breath, "you're the only reason i come into this place too. i always see you sitting in that same spot whenever i'm in here, the way you look at me drives me insane. of course it definitely helps that you are insanely attractive. i can't stop thinking about kissing you everytime i see you". i wasn't too sure where the confidence came from but we both definitely weren't complaining.

her hand rose on my thigh as i left out a soft sigh, her other raised to my cheek to pull me in.

"i'll make sure it'll be as good as you imagined"
