i jumped to the sound of a loud knock on my front door whilst also silently thanking my lucky stars that i lived alone. as i walked down the stairs the loud banging continued and to be honest i wondered if it was the police by the way they were pounding on it.

"fuck okay i'm literally here!" i shouted to whoever resigned behind my door. my confused frown curved into a smile as i met my best friend's blue eyes. even though i hated to admit it, i knew i loved her since we had our first sleepover when we were sixteen. i could never tell her that, it'd risk our friendship too much and i could never be prepared for that.

i noticed her expression whilst still trying to figure out what exactly it was, it was like a mix of happiness and fear at the same time which confused the fuck out of me but i welcomed her in and took her upstairs to sit on my bed, checking the time whilst i was at it.

2am...

"Alessia, are you ok-" i was cut off by a pair of soft lips crashing onto mine. i'd be lying if i said i didn't like it but it was wrong, she had a girlfriend. i debated pulling away for a few seconds before i eventually did

"alessia what are you doing? you have a girlfriend. why did you kiss me?"

"y/n. listen, i broke up with her. i just don't feel the same about her anymore and to be honest love i don't think i ever felt any strong feelings for her. i've only really wanted one person so bad in my life and i don't know if i can have them. they make me feel some type of way, whenever i'm with them i feel my feelings completely shift. i just love them. i love you."

.. was this really happening. okay, Y/N breath, totally not a big deal that ALESSIA FUCKING RUSSO the girl you had loved since you were 16 is confessing her love for you right now.

"do you promise, Less?" i responded unsure but still shocked, my lips not being able to say anything else.

"of course i promise, i only want you, y/n"

"well then i love you too, Russo"
