It was official. Reggie was in serious trouble. In this nondescript hotel room, with Helen, the shower running in the background, she watched him intently. He sat on the edge of the bed, his phone resting on the desk beside her. They were alone, and Reggie couldn't shake the feeling of impending doom. He knew where this was headed if nobody came to his rescue.Fortunately, he had a slim chance. Despite being alone with Helen, there were people all around. Reggie hoped that Scott or Archer were working on his escape at that very moment. He scoffed at the thought of entrusting his life to a 13-year-old and a man who always carried a gun in his waistband. "What's so amusing?" Helen inquired. "Oh, nothing," Reggie replied. Helen stood up and advanced toward him, her leg peeking out of the slit in her silk red dress.
As Helen approached, Reggie's heart raced. He knew he had to keep his cool, despite the overwhelming sense of dread creeping over him. Sweat beaded on his forehead as he tried to come up with a plan. But before he could react, Helen reached out and placed a hand on his shoulder, her touch sending shivers down his spine.
Reggie tensed, his mind racing with thoughts of escape. He forced himself to stay calm, his eyes darting around the room for any possible means of getting out. Helen's hand lingered on his shoulder, her eyes locked onto his with an intensity that made him uneasy. He swallowed hard, trying to mask his fear with a facade of composure.
Reggie tensed, trying to maintain his composure despite the fear coursing through him. Helen's presence felt suffocating, her gaze piercing through him as she leaned in closer. "You seem nervous, Reggie. Is there something on your mind?" she whispered, her voice sending a chill down his spine. Sweat trickled down the back of Reggie's neck as
Reggie forced himself to meet her gaze, attempting to appear calm despite the panic welling up inside him. "Just... the situation," he managed to say, his voice barely above a whisper. "It's... a lot to take in." Helen's lips curled into a sly smile, her eyes gleaming with amusement. "Oh, Reggie, you don't need to worry. I'll take good care of you," she murmured, her tone sending shivers down his spine.
The phone rang, causing Reggie to startle. Helen's eyes narrowed as she strode over to the phone, picking it up with a smooth motion. "Bunny," she said, her tone neutral. Reggie's heart pounded in his chest. "Why does that name sound familiar?" she mused, turning to face him with a wicked smile. "You're quite the mysterious one, Reggie," she purred, sending a chill down his spine.
Reggie's mind raced as he tried to gauge Helen's intentions. Was she onto him? Did she know about his connection to Bunny? He forced himself to remain composed, but inside, panic was mounting with each passing second.
As Helen continued to speak on the phone, Reggie's heart pounded in his chest. He knew he had to act fast before she uncovered his secrets. With every word she uttered, his anxiety grew, and he prayed that help would arrive soon.
"Uh-huh, this is a friend of Reggie's," she said, her eyes fixed on him, "He's occupied at the moment, and he will be for a while," she added, her tone sharp. "Well, forgive me for being curious. If a charming man treats me to a meal, he's sure to earn some rewards," she chuckled, sending a chill down Reggie's spine. "Sure, Bunny, you can rescue me and offer all those enticing promises. But it won't change the fact that you've lost and I've won," she gloated. Then, with a grimace, she removed the phone from her ear. "I'm ending this call now!"
"Sorry about that," she said, her eyes never leaving Reggie. "You know, I can't help but wonder what you and your little friend Bunny are up to." Her voice was laced with a mixture of amusement and malice. "But it doesn't matter. You're here now, and you're all mine." With a smirk, she dropped the phone to the floor, the sound echoing in the room like a death knell.
