The atmosphere in the hotel room shifted palpably as soon as they entered. Maddie felt a wave of unease wash over her as she was unceremoniously pushed onto the bed, the suddenness of it leaving her momentarily panicked. Sitting up, she looked at the man standing before her, his demeanor sending shivers down her spine.
He began to remove his tie, his eyes fixed on her with an unsettling intensity. Maddie's heart raced as she licked her lips nervously, trying to find her voice amidst the rising tension. "Uh..." she stammered, but before she could utter another word, he silenced her with a commanding "Shh."
Feeling her fight or flight instincts kick in, Maddie swallowed hard, her mind racing with fear and uncertainty. With a sinking feeling in her chest, she folded her hands on her lap and sat there, silently praying for her crew to arrive and rescue her from this unnerving situation.
As Maddie sat there, her mind raced with thoughts of escape and survival. She knew she had to stay calm and composed, despite the fear coursing through her veins. Every fiber of her being urged her to run, to scream for help, but she resisted, knowing that any sudden movements could escalate the situation further.
The man continued to loom over her, his gaze unwavering as he assessed her with a predatory intensity. Maddie felt a chill run down her spine as she tried to gauge his intentions, but his stoic demeanor revealed little.
Minutes felt like hours as Maddie waited in tense silence, her senses on high alert for any sign of danger. She prayed for the sound of footsteps approaching, signaling the arrival of her crew to rescue her from this terrifying ordeal.
He loosened his tie, his predatory eyes locked onto her. Maddie gulped, feeling a surge of fear. "If only you knew what you just got yourself into," he rasped, his voice dripping with menace. Maddie's heart raced, the realization dawning that he was violent and would not take no for an answer.
As he began creeping onto the bed, Maddie instinctively backed up, her mind racing for a way out. He chuckled darkly. "The more you resist, the further I'll go," he taunted, enjoying her discomfort.
Just then, a loud crash sounded from the room next door. He jumped, startled by the noise, and Maddie seized the opportunity to leap off the bed. In her haste, she misjudged the distance and crashed onto the floor, her knees and palms hitting the carpet with a painful thud. Her breath came in quick gasps as she scrambled to her feet, adrenaline surging through her veins, her eyes darting toward the door.
He recovered quickly, his eyes narrowing with renewed determination. Maddie, now on her feet, backed toward the door, her heart pounding in her chest. She could see the rage building in his eyes, but the noise had given her a sliver of time, a chance she had to take.
"Where do you think you're going?" he growled, stepping forward.
Maddie's mind raced. She needed to buy more time. She glanced around the room, spotting a heavy lamp on the bedside table. As he lunged at her, she grabbed the lamp and swung it with all her strength. It collided with his shoulder, causing him to stagger back with a snarl of pain and surprise.
She didn't wait to see his reaction. Maddie bolted for the door, wrenching it open and dashing into the hallway. Her eyes darted left and right, searching for an escape route. The hotel corridor was eerily empty, and she could hear his heavy footsteps gaining on her.
Suddenly, she heard a familiar voice calling her name. "Maddie!" It was Scott, followed closely by Archer and Michael, their faces set with grim determination.
"Run!" Maddie shouted, pointing behind her. "He's right behind me!"
Scott pushed her forward, "We've got you, go!"
