Chapter - 54

Recap: Keshav POV from the past.

Keshav woke up first and saw Myra sleeping peacefully. He moved out and got ready quickly to cook breakfast since they hadn't ate anything for more than 24 hours. He entered the kitchen and started cooking. Hearing footsteps he walked out and saw Myra on the couch leaning her head on the head rest.

He sauntered to her and pecked her forehead before he sat next to her.

Keshav: Little one, you are awake, get bathed and I will set the table. 

Myra did not speak but returned to the room with him following her. He placed a bag on the bed and passed a towel to her.

Keshav: I bought some clothes for you to wear now. Later I will buy more clothes.

Myra took the towel and entered the washroom. Keshav returned to the hall and dialled Rakesh's number.

Rakesh: I was waiting for your call and you finally blessed me with it. Will you now tell me what happened ?

Keshav explained everything and sighed running his palm over his face.

Rakesh: Is she upset now ?

Keshav: I messed up Rakesh, I would have felt better even if slapped me but she is hurt that I hid everything from her. Everything is ok between except she hasn't talked to me from the moment she woke up.

Rakesh: Give her some time to come in terms with everything and realize how much you love her. Come home for dinner and bring her with you. 

Keshav agreed and return to the dining table. When Myra got seated next to him he served the breakfast in a plate and started feeding her to try his luck and smiled when she didn't deny and ate from his hands. 

Keshav: Rakesh has invited us for dinner tonight. Shall we go butterfly ?

Myra nodded her head and later she walked out of home. He locked the door and rushed to her. They walked in silence and Keshav stopped when Myra stopped before a nursery. She selected few plants and walked out without a word. The owner tried to follow her but Keshav stopped him and paid for the plants. They returned to the cottage and Myra made herself busy in planting them. Keshav helped her and through out the day she did not speak a word but they did everything together.

By 7 they got ready and reached Rakesh's home. Myra smiled and greeted the family.

Rakesh: How are you Myra ? We are very happy to have you back in Ooty.

Myra: Thank you. Feels great to be with you all today.

Rakesh's wife served dinner and Keshav fet relieved that she ate without denying anything. They were all seated in the porch with desserts and Rakesh's children were showing their drawings to Myra who was actively involved in their conversation.

Rakesh's mother: Its good you both are here. Rakesh has arranged for a special pooja for my birthday tomorrow. He still thinks that I m young to celebrate birthday every year.

Myra stopped whatever she was talking to the children and turned her complete attention to the old woman. Rakesh and Keshav exchanged looks nervously.

Myra: Tomorrow is your birthday ? But wasn't it two months back ?

Rakesh's mother: No, its tomorrow.

Myra excused from everyone and stopped by the gate biting on her nails.

Myra Mv: I m damn sure that her birthday was two months back. I remember when Rakesh sir invited me for the celebration then why are they nervous and what are they hiding now ?
