Chapter 22: Back into the Cookie Kingdom and a unexpected visitor

After the group came back from the Vanilla Kingdom in a journey of 7 days, they saw how the Kingdom became very different. Where used to be the smithy's area turned into a Bear Jelly train station's entrance, near the Castle grew a blue tree inhabited by blueberry birds, the discovery of a mysterious tower... and the strange mirror. The five cookies decided to explore the expanded Kingdom and saw Princess cookie nearby. 

After catching up on what happened in their absence, Wizard Cookie decided to check on the tower with Gingerbrave because he was the only one who had wings and could fly.

Strawberry Cookie, on the other hand, went to meet the famous cookievorous plant that Herb Cookie took in.

Gingerbright went to investigate the strange mirror alone...

Inside the abandoned tower the two cookies found some tomes that somehow, described their journey through Crispia. Nearby, there was books with the images of some cookies with different colored covers: a yellow covered book that was supposed to be an oddyssey; a blue tome that depicted a pink mermaid as the protagonist; a red book potraying a fight between two dragons; a pink tome showing a 'summer rocka festa' and a cyan book with a yeti as the protagonist, but all of their pages were blank... On top of them laid a map, a map of Earthbread (It's da map from a loading screen).

Gingerbrave almost jumped at a small sculpture of a crow. 

"Of all birds, a crow?" Gingerbrave thought. If someone told him the word 'bird' the first thing that comes to his mind were blueberry birds or the toucan he met before departing for the Vanilla Kingdom who turned out to be a sea merchant.

Gingerbright suddenly barged into the room. Gingerbrave and Wizard Cookie were surprised and asked what was wrong. And a silouette of a certain gingerbread cookie became visible.

"Brave Cookie?!"

"I-I thought you stayed in the academy?!" Wizard Cookie questioned: "And what about what you said?!"

"Yeah, I just said that because the Vanilla Kingdom was in great danger, and I can't seem to find White Lily Cookie's Soul in this continent..."

"Brave Cookie, I need you to tell me about uh- everything!" Gingerbrave demanded.

"Sure! Where do I start..." the Cookie pondered.

Once upon a time, the First Guardian has risen from the abyss of the newly-created Universe. They were in the form of a star, they circle the world as the other Guardians were coming to existence. Then, they were named as the Sun, and with the Sun's blessing, Soul Fragments were created. (You are my sunshine, my only sunshine-)

A mythical bird comes down occasionally to a small continent called Earthbread to witness the coming of the night, in the form of a Crow whose feathers glimmered at the faint light of the stars, and the Moon. The Sun was a master of Soul Manipulation, as they could split or merge the souls of their incarnations. 

The Crow guided the former Ancient Heroes to the light, away from the Shadows of Tempation, but a moment was everything that needed for the Light to be swallowed by the Darkness, as the Sun's incarnation tried to save Earthbread, they failed... Falling into a pit of embers and flames.

Then, they reincarnated into a gingerbread Cookie, named Brave Cookie. The vanillan prince was like a role model for the former Vanillans, as he was known as the first Light Paladin. But then, the winged's reincarnation has fallen again, and the unfortunate Prince's cookie body became possesed by the Dark magic that the mythical bird coudn't seal entirely.
