Akira Janaee Hart

After drinking our soup, we sat in silence when Ziddy's phone began to ring. He didn't answer it rang twice again and he still didn't answer it. It rang again from another phone. This time, he answered and walked outside.

Zidon Arimi Panton

"Batty Bwoii, u love man, stop call down mi phone," I said as the call connected.

"Shotta, weh you deh?" CJ asked.

"Weh that affi do with you?" I answered.

"Mi did come link you, but u neva deh home," CJ said.

"You no have no yard?" I asked.

"How you a deal with mi so, Shootta, woman yard you deh."

"Weh that have to do with you?" I asked.

"Shootta, yah, talk to some ass in CJ's background," CJ replied.

"Babes, weh you deh?" a familiar voice asked, realizing it was my ex/woman/fling Ashley.

"Weh you do a mi yard?" I asked.

"Babes, mi belly a hurt mi," Ashley said.

"Weh that have fi do with mi?" I asked.

"Babes, wah you a do?" Ashley asked.

"Just go a yard," I said, infuriated.

"Come fi mi no, Babes, and bring mi home," Ashley said.

"The same way you did reach mi yard, find dah same way deh go home," I said, frustrated.

"Babes, you alright? 'Cause last night you seemed upset when we did a... and right after you just jump ina u car a gawn," Ashley said.

"Ashley, go a you yard and give back CJ him phone," I said firmly.

"Babes, baby, daddy, bab..." Ashley said.

"Pussyole, u nah hear? Go a you blood cloth yard," I said, hanging up my phone, now never upset.

A couple of seconds later, my phone rang again. I contemplated answering because it could be either Ashley calling back with CJ's phone or CJ calling, but I answered.

"Shootta," CJ said.

"She gaawn a har yard yet?" I asked CJ.

"Yh mon, you neva have to deal with her, so ino, man," CJ said.

"She just did a get pna mi nerves," I said.

"A find you find new fling mek you a gwaan so ino," CJ said.

"Nothing like that," I said.

"You better go mek up with you woman eno," CJ said.

"From mi give har two 5 grand, mumma good eno, she no have no likkle ambition," I said.

"Shoota, weh you actually?" CJ asked.

"My youth, you a mi madda or somu, why you wah know weh mi deh?"

"Because you no normally go nowhere," CJ said.

"Mi a big man," I said.

"No bother, go breed, no body gyal pickney," CJ said before hanging up.

"But dah bwoii yah bright ehh, fulla shit like crab."

Entering the room back, I realized Kia was fast asleep, so I decided not to wake her and decided to leave.

Before leaving, I told the receptionist that when the patient of room #071 is being discharged, they should call me to come pick her up.

Exiting the hospital, I went to the parking lot to look for my Axio.

I entered my car, turned on the AC, and drove out of the hospital parking lot. After connecting my phone to my car, it automatically started to play music.

Pon eh northcoast and a cool out
Gyal a bubble fi di blue note
Bubble fi di blue note I sang along

Gyal a bubble fi di blue note
She pop pill suh she boose out
Pon eh northcoast and a cool out
She say to how mi c**ky big she need 2 mouth
Mi head sicka than the flew and she know that she rude
Gyal jump ina di [?]
Mi high out a space and a tru bro
Weed mek me leff earth stop a pluto

Pulling up into my driveway, I saw CJ's Mark X. I still laughed because his woman pursued him to buy it in pink.

"Jah, Jah, dah bwoii yah no have no yard," I said to myself.

"Dutty Zidon," I heard, so I opened my car.

"Weh you a do yah?" I asked my sister.

"Mi cah come look fi mi bredda," she asked.

"Weh you a beg, Tia?" I asked.

"You have nothing to beg," she flared back.

"OK then," I said as I walked past her heading inside.

"Ziddy, bro, mi cah borrow one a your car fi a girls' road trip?" she asked.

"No," I replied firmly.

"Why, Ziddy?" she said.

"What happened to your car?" I asked.

"Mi crash it, and mummy or daddy won't lend mi theirs," Tia stated.

"That's why mi nah lend you none a mine, unu betta catch taxi, or walk," I said sarcastically.

"Ziddy, you see why mi no like you? Just lend mi eh Axio or somu, no?" Tia said.

"No, why one of your friends them no use their car?" I asked.

"They don't have a license," she said.

"Neither do you," I said, entering and sitting down on the sofa.

"Better unu fly out or somu," I said, looking at her.

"Yeah, later," she said, disappointed.

"Tia," I said.

"Yeah," she replied.

"Mi ago mek CJ drive unu, that alright?" I asked.

"Yeah," she said, her face lighting up.

"Later," she said, going through the gate.

After she left, I went into the backyard to see CJ lying on a floaty in the pool.

"CJ," I called.

"A run eh woman run you?" CJ asked.

"My youth, get up, mek. we play too game since you deh yah," I said.

"Yeah, mon," CJ agreed.

We played games for hours until CJ's mom called him to come home to help her, and he left instantly. One thing about CJ is that if his mother says jump, him jumps.

Checking the time, it was now 4:17.

Coming downstairs to see if there was anything in the fridge that could be cooked, I was greeted with emptiness. There was only a half-drunk bottle of Arizona and a box of donuts that Tia brought over. I ate two and drank the remaining of the Arizona.

"Them doughnuts yah sweet," I said as I swallowed them.

Shortly after, my phone began to ring.

"Hello, is this Mr. Panton?" the voice on the line said.

"Yes, this I," I replied.

"The patient of room #071 is getting discharged. In the next hour, please take a change of clothes for her."

"OK, thank you for letting me know. I am on my way," I said, hanging up.
