I didn't consider myself a plant person. In fact, I really fucking hated them, they needed consistent care. They were like children; they die if you don't feed them.

Riley was the plant person in our relationship, we had so many in our apartment back in the city. There was a plant in every room. Whether it was a type of flower or simply something with giant leaves. Without Riley reminding me constantly to water them at room temperature they probably would have died a long time ago.

Sitting in Riley's house, I stare at the same green plant that sits in the corner of her living room. Three hours I've been staring and I still couldn't figure out what type of plant it was. We've had so many but none that look like this one. It was huge with large leaves spilling over the pot.

Who was watering it for her while she was gone was a mystery to me. I figured when Riley arrives we would have so many new ones too. Stinking up the fucking place.

I've also read the same quote on the calendar that sat on the wall besides me about thirty times, it was a quote that literally came off Pinterest.

I've counted how many times I could reach the table with my foot without it falling off.

Twenty-four times.

Being on bed rest sucked. I couldn't even last one day.

How would I last two weeks?

After I was discharged from the hospital, Gavin offered to take me to Riley's house, Anthony knew where her emergency key was because mine was not rescued from the car accident. My car keys and old house keys were, but not the ones I needed. Her spare was under the flower pot according to Anthony.

Greyson. He was just so... Beautiful. The entire ride he kept glancing at me through the mirror. He came along, because well, he just wanted to make sure I was alright.

A weird and unfamiliar feeling burst through my chest at his words. I can't remember a time when someone- a boy had admitted that out loud. I don't know where my head is right now. I can't seem to think straight with all this testosterone. I can't seem to wrap my head around anything that's been going on.

I was just in the hospital yesterday. Now I was riding back with three boys, I knew nothing about. I was stuck in a police car with three strangers giving me a ride to a house I'd never been to. Gavin driving, Greyson in the passenger side, and Anthony beside me.

Men, I couldn't even call these gigantic men boys.

"If you don't mind me asking, are you planning on staying? Like forever?" Anthony's deep voice breaks the silence that was echoing through the car.

"I-I hope so," I mutter because if none of this works I might have well just died in that accident. Greyson stares at me through the rearview mirror.

"Any plans?" He continues to pry.

"I'm not sure yet. I guess I'll have to talk to Riley when she gets in. Call the bank and get new cards and see if they'll replace the cash that burned in the car." I say biting my nails once again.

He nods. "Smart thinking," he mutters shaking his head yes multiple times. "So," he starts Gavin groans from the driver's side. "Has Riley ever mentioned me?" He asks eyes gleaming with hope.

Did they use to date or something?

"Don't fucking interrogate her about your sad excuse of a love life," Greyson mutters glaring at Anthony.

"It's not sad and I'm not interrogating her."

"You don't have to answer him Bailey bee," Gavin says with a smile. I laugh at the nickname, shaking my head.
