It was a odd feeling stepping through the Cameron's front door, this time knowing i would be willingly staying the night.
When i arrived, Rafe's dad gave me a lovely welcome. Even his step mum, Rose.
They explained to me how Rafe had told them i was going through some stuff at the moment. He assured me after that he obviously didn't go in to detail, which i was more than grateful for. And they explained how they were happy for me to stay, for as long as i needed to.
However, their words didn't manage to disguise the pure look of judgement on their faces. Maybe it wasn't purposeful. I mean, this was all a little weird. Especially for Ward.
I was some girl who is the daughter of the man he used to spend almost everyday with, and all of a sudden i was preparing to spend multiple nights in his home after being mysteriously injured.
I couldn't lie. It all felt like some wacky dream. A Kook and Pogue mixed up dream that shouldn't be happening. On paper, it was a bad idea.
Rafe did say how Ward mentioned my dad. He said if it were anyone else he wouldn't of given them the time of day. But as i touched on before, he had history with my dad i guess.
Apparently, Ward was just happy me and Rafe were getting some what along. Greatful we aren't still constantly at each others throats like we used to be. Hold on, let me rephrase that. Rafe being constantly at my throat.
"I know you haven't got any bits from home. But Sarah's got plenty of clothes you can borrow. More than enough, really. And i can take you shoppi- " I heard Rafe speak as he enters the room.
It was one of the many spare rooms in this mansion. The room which is now temporarily mine.
"It's okay. Really. The room itself is enough." I interrupted with a small laugh. "Thank you." I sighed gratefully, looking round the room.
"Where is she?!" I suddenly heard a female voice shouting. I jumped as hard footsteps came crashing up the stairs. "Sofia!" Sarah's face appeared in the door of the room.
Before i knew it she came rushing over to me, slamming me into a big bear hug. I laughed placing my hands on her back.
Her voice spoke quietly into my neck. "I'm so happy you're staying here." She pulled back, still holding my shoulders. She had a huge grin on her face. "I've always wanted a sister." She winked at me, my grin matching hers.
"Rude." A young voice called from the hallway. Wheezie.
"Hey Wheezie!" I yelled hoping she'd hear me from wherever she was in the house.
"Hi!" She squeaked back.
Rafe cleared his throat from behind me and Sarah. "I'll leave you guys. But Sofia, if you need anything just call."
I caught his eye. "Thank you Rafe. Again." I spoke with a smile.
He nodded before strolling out of the room. My gaze lingered on the door for a bit after he left.
Sarah's whistle forced me to look away. She was wiggling her eyebrows at me with a smirk.
"What?" I frowned, automatically snapping at her.
"Something going on between you two?" She wiggled her eyebrows again with a giggle.
"Wha-? No!" I spat out, suddenly feeling a little put on the spot with the need to defend myself. "Shut up!" I slapped her shoulder lightly, which caused her to just laugh harder. Was Sarah seriously suggesting me and Rafe were...?
