Chapter 15: Princess Of Bavverissi

I know the perfect place to hide. Iscarus says.

Awesome! Where at? I ask excitedly.

The small town of Bavverissi. He replies. I smile.

Great! I can't wait! Are there any motels or anything we can stay at for the night? I ask.

We're gonna stay at only the finest motel in Bavverissi. He says while smiling. It's a quiet swim the rest of the way. We only pop up once or twice for air.

**Two Hours Later**

Here we are! Iscarus says. As we enter the small town I see merfolk everywhere. In the middle of the wide swim way, is a statue of Baveras, a goddess of the seas. I quickly swim to it. She's holding a glossy pearl with something written on it.

The words read:

"One day, Chaaishiihuu, loved and hated to many's an eye. She will come to the land of peace and wonder, bringing wonder and beauty, power and ponder. She will not be consumed in the hate and greed of others though it surrounds her completely. Chaaishiihuu will come to this realm and rule after me, my descendent, vanquishing all evil and greed."

What? I-I don't understand, Iscarus... you said stood up for me... protected me. I say slowly, confused.

You fool! Do you not understand it was a trick! He says sternly. I black out for a minute. I have no control of my actions or words.

For it is you who is the fool! I say in a deep, husky, quite scary voice that is not mine. For it is you who did not understand the prophecy! Chaaisiihuu will defeat all evil with my help! She is my descendent and I will make sure her prophecy is fulfilled! Iscarus grabs my head snapping me back to.

Never am I letting you go, Chaaisiihuu! You are far to valuable to the future of this realm! He says, pulling my hair back.

Ahh! Ouch! Let go of me! I scream. I feel the eyes of the villagers on us. Time to make drama class count, I decide. I fake choking and staring desperately at Iscarus for help. He looks confused but only pulls tighter. I pretend to die to get the crowds attention.

Chaaisiihuu! She's dead! Because of this merman! I hear a villager growl. The villager is male I can tell by their voice. I fight a smile as I feel them grab Iscarus. I hear desperate screams for help and angry villagers. I slowly fall to the sand as part of the act.

I feel myself being lifted by some villagers. They carry me a long ways away before setting me down. I feel sea flowers around me.

Is there anything in the prophecy about this and how she's woken up? I hear a female villager ask. I open my eyes and look around. I hear gasps.

I'm alright! Please do not worry! I say softly. The villagers look shocked. I faked it all to get away from that merman. He was trying to capture and control me. I explain. They nod and look at me. Where am I?

The palace. It has been long awaiting your arrival. A little mermaid says coming up to my side. I sit up.
