Ren laughed weakly at Kyo's reaction, making Kyo more annoyed.
"How can you laugh when you're in this state?! Is this funny to you?!"
"Calm down, Kyo. I'm fin-"
"You are not fine! Look at yourself! Ren, you are not fine."
Ren's eyes widen. This was the first time he saw Kyo really angry. Ren reached Kyo's hand and pulled him gently down to himself to hug him.
"I'm sorry, please don't be mad."
Kyo finally calmed down and listened to Ren as he kept rubbing his palm on Kyo's back.
"I'm getting weaker because... Earth doesn't have the air I breathe on my planet."
Kyo took a seat, waiting for Ren's story, which made Ren smile.
"You see, earth is a very nice planet, everything about it is good... But I'm not a human, my body is still looking for the environment where I was born and raised."
Ren took a seat also, facing Kyo as he held his shoulder, making Kyo stare at him.
"But I can still stay longer, I'm strong after all. Plus, you're here with me, I don't want to leave yet... I want to be with you much longer."
Kyo flushed, pushing Ren down on the bed and raising the blanket up to Ren's chest. "Then rest!"
--------------------
Weeks keep passing, and Ren was still on earth, waiting for his ship to restart, which made Kyo worried a lot because Ren's condition was getting worse. He can't do anything or even ask anyone to help Ren restart his ship, since no one should know about Ren. But something was off, why won't it start again even though it has been untouched for months? Ren hadn't even tried opening it. Kyo observed the ship before confronting Ren about this, since Kyo was not familiar with this vehicle. All he could do was stare at it. He stared, kept staring, and finally decided to talk with Ren about it.
Kyo finally got home. He went straight to his room as he arrived and saw Ren there, lying in his bed, who looked awfully sick. Kyo walked toward his bed, where Ren was lying down and sleeping. When Kyo approached him, Ren's eyes slowly opened, like he knew that someone was approaching him.
"Kyo?" Ren said faintly.
"Did I wake you up?"
"No." Ren smiled as he tapped the bed, signaling Kyo to sit down, and Kyo sat on the bed sideways.
"You."
"What?"
"Tell me the truth, Ren." Kyo looked back, staring at Ren, who was lying on the bed. "Your ship is already fine, right?"
Ren was surprised, making him sit where he was lying. "W-wait."
"Go home, Ren."
"B-but!"
"No buts! You're not needed here, so go home. If you don't, I will never talk to you again."
Kyo went out of his room, leaving Ren behind, who looked really sad and disappointed. Tears from Kyo's eyes fell down to his cheeks, making him wipe them. Ren was the first person who befriended him; never dare someone approach Kyo other than Ren. He was afraid he would lose his first best friend.
"I don't want you to leave. I don't want to be lonely again. But you need to go home."
------------------------I almost forgot to update this; I was too focused on reading, studying, and crying about Choso's death💀. Sorry, but I hope you enjoy this story. Thank you for reading.
