Morning were usually the calmest part of the day in the glade.

The faint sounds of birds chirping, the sun slowly rising over the walls, and best of all now loud shouting from outside.

That was unless you shared a hammock with someone who got up at five in the morning, with the sun.

As soon as she felt the weight shift off the fabric, her eyes snapped open, meeting the barren back of the boy who laid beside her.

"Morning." She whispered out, her voice coming out gravely.

"Morning, Thena." Minho whispered out, continuing to get dressed.

She started to push herself up onto her elbows, trying her best to balance herself on the flimsy bed.

She smiled sleepily at the boy as she turned around, reaching her hand out to brush against his arms.

Minho smiled down at the girl, raising his hand and pushing the blonde hairs out of her face.

"Go back to sleep, Thena. You still got a few hours before you gotta get up."

She hummed slightly, leaning into the touch of the boys calloused hands.

"You say that every morning, and yet have I ever listened once?" She murmured out.

Minho chuckled softly, letting his hand run down her cheek and down her shoulder.

"Yeah, you're right."

She swung her legs over the edge and got off the hammock, reaching down to the wooden floor of the homestead and pulling on an older brown shirt and the only pair of jeans she owned.

Forgoing shoes, she took off after the boy, following him to the opening of the labyrinth that surrounded their home.

Athena's feet slowed down as the grass began to thin out, her now going at a steady walk.

She glanced around the naked field that surrounded them, once deeming them clear she through her arms around the taller boy.

Her arms wrapped around Minho's broad shoulders, letting her head rest against his chest.

Minho smiled softly, resting one hand on her cheek, he leaned down, pressing a slow kiss against her lips.

As soon as the kiss started, it ended. Much earlier than she would have liked.

"Gotta go, Thena. Gotta job to do."

She scoffed jokingly, dropping her arms from his shoulders.

"Okay, shank. Whatever you say."

She gave him one last smile, before taking off back into the glade and away from the high concrete walls of the maze.

As soon as she entered the homestead, she quickly began putting on her boots, tying them up. Making sure that they would hold all day.
