In the era of magic and machinery of a pretty generic novel where everything seems normal at a first glance where there is a protagonist with some end goal, a bit of plot armor, some friends, some enemies, some cold hearted calculative moments where the mc feels like a kid who is going through puberty and some other cliques. It's all packed up, but something unexpected happened. Something even the author could have never predicted.

A random side character became conscious of the world being a novel. This good for nothing side character that should have died like a little bitch in some random event behind the scenes is now alive and aware, and is messing up the fucking storyline with his interference and I just want this son of a bitch to die and let me have some piece of mind.

(Hey Author, aren't you bitching a lot about me for not being dead? Sounds sadistic to me, and you wrote piece instead of peace in your fit of anger. The Readers will not like it if you make such beginner mistakes)

*inhale*....*exhale*....... Let's start again

Our protagonist who is obviously a regressor who came back in time after not being able to fulfill his glorious purpose and being killed in the process or maybe by betrayal...? (Sounds like lazy writing to me. Why not say he died fighting the Demon King or some shit because he wasn't strong enough).

BECAUSE HE IS THE MC! He has plot armor for that situation! I can't spoil everything on a fucking prologue.

*sob*

I don't want my first novel to fail before even reaching out to an audience...*sob*

(Are you sobbing? Come on man I am not even paid for this shit. Don't make that face; the readers will love your work...I guess?)
