Chapter 13: Sparrow's Uniqueness

(Ho Ho Ho, howdy readers! The lazy ass of an author has finally written this chapter to finally move on with the plot. Not sure about you guys but I am super excited because your favourite character will finally get to know his uniqueness. That is me! The Great Gerhman Sparrow with the heavy Russian accent. According to most cliques I should probably get some copy related abilities. If not that something along the lines of devouring or stealing abilities is also a very high possibility.)

"Excited?" Eva asked.

"Very" Sparrow replied.

Currently the group of four including the chosen one Ryan and the hidden one L were making their way towards Professor Cassandra.

After the announcement about the Tournament everyone in the academy started preparing themselves in all sorts of ways. But what actually gives an edge in winning such matches is the Unique ability everyone has apart from the magic that everyone can perform.

Since everyone came from well established households they knew about their Uniqueness since it is passed down in them through blood and they also follow well tested training methods to use these abilities to their outmost potential.

But Little Sparrow had no such thing and was awakened accidently in place of being dead from corruption so he had no idea about his ability and also never learned magic too. He was pretty much a normal kid who has yet to cast his first spell.

(I can cast spells if I want to. It's just that there has never been a need to perform magic during this semester. And using magic without need is just labour in my view.)

"Professor Cassandra have been doing her research in different bloodline's uniqueness and because of that she is well versed in that field. She can find your uniqueness with just single examination." Ryan explained as the group reached Cassandra's Lab.

When they entered they were greeted by the ghost like Professor Cassandra.

"Is 'HE' my test subject" Cassandra asked with some lunacy in her eyes.

(This hag is clearly lost it ages ago. How can she call a student a test subject? I suspect she might kill me and fulfil her necrophilia fetishes. Author this is off boundaries even for 18 plus age group. Keep her character a bit decent)

"...yes" Sparrow replied eventually.

Cassandra offered her hand and following suit Sparrow offered his hand in Cassandra's.

"I need your ID to fill a form, not your hand for marriage. And you are too young for that." Cassandra said.

"I thought you could just read my mana with just holding hands and tell me my uniqueness." Sparrow said and the rest also agreed.

"Do I look like some lab instrument? With all the drugs I regularly take to keep vengeful spirits under control, I have even lost the ability to sense temperature much less some fancy mana detection through hand holding. I will run some tests and ask some friendly spirits and lastly a ritual to confirm all the results. This will take hardly ten minutes and you will have your results then."

"Ok" Sparrow said and gave his ID.

"This is for my research. I need to write my subject's name for further reference." Cassandra said as she took the ID.

After every procedure was done Cassandra took a small amount of Sparrow's blood to do her examination.

Sometime later the results came.

"So... what can this loud mouth do?" Ryan asked with curiosity.

"Yes, tell us" Eva also chimed in.

Only Sparrow and L were silent. One was because of anticipation and the other one was not much of a talker or say 'talkr'.
