When Love Strikes (A Marauders Era Fanfic)

Chapter Seven

Hey everyone :)

So... it's been a while since I have been active on Wattpad. College was extremely demanding this year, and has exhausted me. Since it's the summer holiday now, I will have more time again to write. I'm very happy about that for I've missed writing terribly.

So, I'm back with a new chapter of "When lovestrikes"! :) I hope you'll like it! :)

"I knew it! I knew it!"

Right before Grainne could take a seat, her cousin had jumped up from hers to hug her.

Areihn smiled, "It runs in the family apparently!" Then she held out her hand, "Welcome to the Ravenclaw house, miss Grainne O'Connell.

Grainne laughed and shook it, "Well thank you, miss Areihn O'Connell! It's a true honour!"

Right then someone else hugged her as well. "How wonderful! I'm so glad you're in our house!"

When the person pulled away, Grainne could see that it had been Kyna. She gave her a warm smile and thanked her as well.

After a few more Ravenclaws had welcomed her, she was finally able to sit down and dive in.

The food was absolutely delicious, far better than the food at Beauxbatons or any other school she'd been to before.

After the tomato soup, two portions of roast chicken with baked potatoes, and a lot of other things Grainne was sure she'd eaten enough.

That was until the different kinds of dessert appeared on the table, for right then she suddenly seemed to have more room in her stomach for it.

While she was finishing her chocolate mousse, Kerra suddenly appeared next to her. "Hello there, new Ravenclaw! Congratulations!"

"Oh hello! And thank you, sorry I wasn't sorted in Hufflepuff."

Kerra grinned, "Oh don't worry about that! I'm sure there'll still be plenty of occasions on which I can talk to you."

Areihn nodded, "Yes,Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs often have many classes together, so there's that!"

Kerra laughed and Grainne did the same, saying, "Oh I hope so!"

Then Kyna elbowed Kerra and both of them looked straight in front of them, smiling.

"Uh oh, here comes trouble..." Kerra said. "It looks as if Branwen will make her first appearance."

Grainne and Areihn were ready to turn around but before either of them could do that, a voice called out, "Oi, Lowarth!"

A tall and broad- shouldered girl with long, curly black hair and olive skin made her way to their table.

A big smile came on Kerra's face, "Hey Foulkes! How've you been, darling?

"Wonderful... my parents forced me to come with them to Greece. We went there to visit some relatives on my mother's side. We stayed there for a month, but after two weeks it became a bit boring... The other month was spent with my dad's family in Wales. That was much more fun though..." Then her brown eyes focussed on Grainne and they widened, "Well, you must be Grainne O'Connell! Areihn's cousin?"

She nodded and smiled, "Yes, that's me all right."

"How great to finally meet you! My name is Branwen Foulkes." She reached out her hand and Grainne shook it.
