The following day, Theolinda visited the Biomedical Research Center, a laboratory where a former police colleague worked.

"Zane, these tests must be conducted with complete caution. No one should know," Theolinda advised the gorgeous black man. A broad smile spread across his face.

"Theolinda, you know I can't deny you anything. I'll make sure to keep everything confidential and secure," Zane assured her.

Theolinda grinned. Although she generally avoided mixing work and pleasure, Theolinda couldn't forget the brief romance she had with Zane Wilson years ago, during Ryan's absence. They ended their relationship because they valued their friendship and professional connection and wanted to avoid any harm to it. They rarely saw each other, but they celebrated their birthdays and followed each other on social media. Theolinda trusted Zane. She knew he would handle the situation discreetly and professionally.

"Okay, Zane. It is a hair sample and the remains of a glass. Let's see what you can find," Theolinda said.

"How are your husband and children?" Zane inquired.

"Well, thanks for asking."

Arabella had only one notion in her head. Despite her early concerns regarding Ben and Matt's ex-girlfriend, she believed that the murder was related to an Order secret. And she would explore, even if that meant going behind Theolinda's back.

'But how do I do it? How do I enter the order building?' Arabella thought. 'Yes! I'm going to go see Alex in his laboratory.'

Alexander Kingsley was the principal geneticist at the order's hospital. The 34-year-old was not a member of the order, but he did work for them. Arabella met him at the psychiatric hospital, and he was pals with her uncle Ryan.

Alex was engrossed in his lab at the order's headquarters, surrounded by the hum of cutting-edge equipment, the faint scent of chemicals in the air, and shelves filled with vials of DNA samples. He was immersed in a groundbreaking DNA discovery that held the potential to revolutionize the field of genetics, challenging the very foundations of our understanding. He employed a variety of scientific instruments and approaches to investigate the genetic code and uncover its secrets. He was so engrossed that he didn't notice Arabella enter. She said:

"Alex, are you busy?"

Alex nearly dropped some DNA samples on the ground, but fortunately, he caught them in time.

"Arabella, I didn't hear you come in," he remarked.

Alex welcomed the interruption with a smile, finding a pleasant break from his work in Arabella's unexpected visit. It was always a delight for him to see the lovely young woman with curly blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes. Her easygoing nature and genuine authenticity always charmed Alex. He eagerly invited her in, grateful for the opportunity to spend time with her.
