I listened intently as the girl spoke, her voice carrying an air of innocence and vulnerability that wrapped around me like a warm blanket. With a playful glint in her eyes, she pointed towards me, took a sip of her soft drink, and my heart raced—was she about to reveal something shocking? I turned back to see what had captured her attention, my curiosity piqued.

“Wait... Is that... Krish??” she asked, an eyebrow arched in amused disbelief. Confusion washed over me as I turned to her, the weight of incredulity settling in my gut. My mind flashed to the comparisons she had just made, the absurdity of being likened to a towering monster.

“Godzilla?? Do I look like that?? Scary cat kid,” I thought, rolling my eyes at the ridiculousness of it all, my head shaking in disbelief.

“Yeah, I just came to check... If... Are you safe or not?... As you don’t know this place,” I stammered, my voice trembling with uncertainty as I took cautious steps toward her.

But her laughter, bright and carefree, caught me off guard, a melodic sound that felt out of place in the gravity of my anxiety.

“Woh villain jaise dikhte jaroor hai par hai nhi. Yeh mere dost hain aur yeh dil ke bahot ache hai. Haan thode moody aur rude hai,” she teased with a playful wink, and my breath hitched in my throat. She saw me as a friend? The warmth of her words enveloped me, leaving me speechless, a whirlwind of emotions swirling within.

How could someone be so kind to a person like me? I, who had caused her pain, yet here she was, defending me against her own laughter. The world felt both lighter and heavier, and in that moment, I realized that kindness could bloom even in the most unexpected places.

"Can you do me a favor?" she asked, her voice a blend of hope and concern.

"Can you ask someone to drop these kids to the orphanage? My security team and bodyguards are arriving tomorrow... I can't leave them alone here." The sincerity in her plea resonated deeply; it was clear she didn’t feel the need to elaborate on the complexities of her situation.
