I woke up with a disturbing sound of alarm, it was 6 in the morning. I got up from my bed, brushed my teeth, took a cold shower. And had my breakfast.

I wore a simple black printed kurti with black pants. French braided my hair. I applied mascara, sunscreen, a little bit of tint, and lipgloss.

I bid my bye from Baba and Mumma, they wished me luck, and I left for my destination.

I reached the Khan Industries at sharp 8 o'clock . The Building was huge I was looking so small in front of it.

I was sitting on the bench and anxiously tapping my feet, waiting for my turn.

"Mehrish Hossain," the receptionist called me and said it's my turn now.

I nervously entered the big room saying Bismillah and saw a man who was in his mid 50s around my father's age.
'Oh, so he is the COO' I thought.
He looked at me and smiled, I saw his face, he was looking oddly familiar.

"Come sit," he said
I obeyed
And greeted him, and he started to ask questions related to my education, past job experience, and many more. I somehow answered the questions confidently. But deep down I was freaking out.

I gave him my CV. He read it carefully. Then asked me surprisingly,
"Are you Hossain's daughter?" I gave him a confused look and said,
"Yes,"
"Do you remember me? I'm your Asif uncle," He said

Then suddenly I remember,

"Asif uncle you!" I said surprisingly.

He was my Baba's best friend from school. We met a few times when I was 10 years old. He used to come to our house with his wife. He also had a son but I never saw him, he never came to our house. Then, I heard from Baba that they went abroad. Since then I haven't met him.

"Yes, dear, you were so small when I saw you. How are you? How are Hossain, Sara Bhabi, and Mehwish?" He asked.

"They are fine, Alhamdulillah. Mehwish api is settled in Australia with her family," I said
"Oh, that little girl also grew up, It has been more than 10 years since we met," He said giving me a sweet smile.

I smilingly nodded.

"Baba told me you and your family went to abroad," I said
"Yes, we were but it was tough to handle this CEO position staying there. So I came back with my family. Though, I'll retire very soon and hand this position to my son," He said

I nodded

"But now my son Aarish Yazeed Khan is the COO and I was looking for his Secretary, I think I found one," he said.

I gave him a confused look, but then it hit me.

"Yes. You will join from tomorrow,"

And I was shocked and beyond happy at the same time.

"Thank you, uncle!" I said and smiled.
"Welcome dear, and send my salam to your parents," he said.

I smiled and nodded.

I stood and made my way to leave, I opened the door and I bumped into someone again.

Not again Mehr...

I looked at the person and he looked at me.
"YOU!!" we said in unison
"What the hell are you doing in my office?" he said while gritting his teeth.
I was shocked to see Mr.jerk here.

It's his office that means...

Yeah, you guessed it right.

"Do you guys know each other?" Asif uncle said.
"Yes, very well," Mr. Jerk said looking at me.
"Oh It's good then Mehrish Hossain is your new secretary Aarish, she will join from tomorrow," he said.

Oh no...

"No," He said sternly. And I looked at him.
"I don't know from which circumstances you two met and what you mean by No. She will assist you,"

"But Dad-" he was about to say 'no' again.
"No buts, Aarish she is your secretary and that's final," he said in his authoritative tone.

Mr. Jerk gave me a final glare and stormed out of the room. I looked at Asif uncle he gave me an apologetic look. I gave him the same look and left from there.

What the hell was that?

Two coincidences on one day!

The world is so small I wonder.

How will I assist this arrogant Mr.jerk every day?

He hates me.

I hate him.

Oh Allah save me from this situation!
