I woke up with a jolt and groaned loudly. Uff I just hate the sound of this damn alarm. I checked the time.

Oh shit.
My eyes shot open.
It's 7 am already!
I've to get ready fast.

"Oh no the first day of my official professional life and I'm getting late," I mumbled, got up from my bed abruptly and made my way to the washroom, did my business. And got ready in 15 minutes.

I wore my formal clothes. Tied my hair in a half ponytail. Applied sunscreen, mascara, tint, and lipgloss. I put on my wristwatch and grabbed my purse.

Thats it.
I'm ready.
I got downstairs hurriedly and saw Mumma was making breakfast.

"Mehr have your breakfast dear," Mumma said.
"Mumma I don't have time I'm getting late," I said hurriedly while eyeing my wristwatch.

"Aare at least eat this your favourite... Nutella spread bread," Mumma said as I wore my shoes.

"Don't worry Mumma, I'll eat something from the canteen," I said.

"Aha, Don't eat something unhealthy," she warned.
"Ok my Highness," I said and kissed her cheeks, and she smiled.
"Ok Allah hafiz," I said. And she replied "Allah hafiz".

I entered the office and greeted the receptionist. She told me that Mr. Jerk's office is on the 15th floor. So I rushed towards the elevator and saw it was almost closing.

"Wait!" I almost shouted.
Then the elevator started to open and I hurriedly stepped into it and saw Mr. Jerk staring at me like I was the most interesting thing in this elevator.

"Good Morning Mr.Je-- I mean Mr.Khan," I said nervously

Damn it.
If I said jerk again, I would be the first who get fired on her first day of work.

He stared at me blankly and then checked his wristwatch.
"You're 2 minutes late," He said in monotone.

I almost had an urge to roll my eyes.

But I controlled myself.

Like seriously 2 minutes late?

I gave him a 'what-the-hell' look.

"Ms. Hossain, did you know there is a thing called basic manner? Stop staring at me" He said rudely.

And I averted my gaze from him. What the hell is wrong with him?

The elevator door finally opened after decades.

"Ms. Hossain come to my office right now," He said.
