"Mehr, Mehr wake up!" Mumma shouted and I groaned "Let me sleep!" I responded in my sleepy voice. "What sleep? wake up it's noon," she said while shaking me and I got up from my bed in defeat. "Go freshen up and come downstairs," she stated and left.

After doing my business I went downstairs and saw Baba talking with Mumma, and Api with a serious look. Seeing me they stopped talking and told me to eat my lunch fast as I skipped breakfast. "Mehr, after finishing your food come to our room we have something to tell you," Mumma said making me confused, and then they left.

Why are they behaving sus?

I finished my food fast and went to their room. Baba gestured me to sit beside him Mumma was also present.

"What happened?" I asked them. They shared a look at each other.
"We have chosen a boy for you," Baba said and I gulped.

Ya Allah not again.

"Okay, who is it?" I asked not knowing how to react or say. "you know him very well," Baba said and I got confused. As far as I know, I do not have any boy friends.

"Who is it?" I asked while frowning. He again looked at Mumma and then me. "Aarish Yazeed Khan," he said and smiled. Meanwhile, I processed the name I just heard.

"But baba I don't think he is a good match for me," I said politely. Ignoring my heart which was beating so fast. Baba patted my head "You know Mehr, I know Asif from my teenage, I'm very well aware of his behavior. I trust his upbringing. And he also told me how Aarish took a stand for you," he said and I looked down.

He said right though except for his bipolar personality, his looks, charm, voice, aura everything is perfect. But that day when he took a stand for me It felt nice.

"Okay Baba I'LL MARRY HIM," I stated in the name of Allah. His eyes beamed with happiness, he hugged me. Mumma also came and hugged me.
