Firey's P.O.V:

After the vent session I had last night with Leafy, we both decided to crash in early and get a head start for a little date/check in we planned out. Morning came in and this time I woke up early. My bed stand clock read 8:45AM. Pretty early, I guess. I looked down on me and noticed Leafy snuggled up and tucked inside my arms. Aww, how cute. I gently gave her a soft kiss on her forehead, while also not trying to wake her up. As I was embracing her in my arms, my mind was focused on one other person...Spongy Soaks. That bastard lost our wedding rings after I explicitly told him 'DO NOT LOSE THEM.' He's so goddamn dead the next time I see him.

I hugged Leafy even tighter. She was practically my emotional support person whenever I felt down. I'm also her emotional support partner. Gosh, we both have been through a lot together. It honestly felt like yesterday BFDI happened and now here we are. We were just kids and besties one second and next was marriage. I peeked down to look at Leafy again. She was still sleeping soundly. I softly stroked her hair and honored all of the memories we've made. Both the good and the bad, which helped distract me from the missing wedding rings for a bit...Oh great I'm thinking about it again.

With the thought swirling in my brain, I cuddled Leafy even tighter, causing her to wake up. "H-Huh?" I heard her mumble. As she let go of my embrace, she sat up, stretched her arms out, and yawned while rubbing her eyes, "Good morning, Firey!" She was wearing a lime green tank top and jean shorts. Although her hair looks messy and her eyes are filled with morning tears from yawning, she still looks like the same Leafy I fell in love with. I stared into her sparkling, green eyes as she was getting ready to fully wake up. I took that advantage and tackled her, giving her the biggest hug I can give her.

Leafy jumped off slightly shocked, then chuckled and hugged me back followed by a slow, soft kiss on the lips. The slightly cold, yet softness of her lips and the warmth of mine somehow work together. We let go and got lost in each other's eyes. That was quickly distributed by my alarm clock. "Damn it..." I whispered angrily under my breath. I tossed my phone away and begrudgingly got up. Leafy did the same not long after and went inside the bathroom to change. All I did was change into a jacket and wore my black cargo pants. She came out wearing her usual overalls with a green t-shirt underneath. "So, where are we going?" She asked.

"Well, umm, I did call in a day off for today, however I still need to double check the food and drinks for our wedding...so..." As I was talking, I felt really guilty that I subconsciously tricked her into thinking that we were having a free day. She started to dim down her smile and started to frown in disappointment. Ugh, I hate seeing her sad. Suddenly, I came up with an idea on how to kill two birds with one stone. "...I'm kidding! How do you feel about a...wine a-and food tasting event? A private one to be exact!" Phew! If she and I taste the wine for our wedding without her knowing, and keep up the 'alone time' charade while actually having our alone time, I'd get two-three jobs done within one day. She thought for a while, and her shining smile appeared on her face as she nodded with approval.

We both got on the train, held our hands the entire time, and arrived at our destination within 20 minutes. The place was quiet, mainly because I made a reservation to try some stuff out and chose which ones are good for our wedding. I gave them a text heads up saying that I'll let them know my decision at the end. Y'know, when my fiancé isn't looking or getting suspicious. She was getting skeptical as soon as we entered and asked, "There's...nobody here. Considering the fact that it's a wine tasting event...and it's a 4.7 star rating area...also it's a weekend...Shouldn't this place be packed with people?" Oh gosh...I quickly reminded her that it was a private event I booked for the two of us. Hoping that she'll stop feeling suspicious about it.

Luckily she didn't notice a thing. She gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and ruffled my hair a bit. "E-Hey! Don't mess my hair up!" I laughed and softly pushed her away. She giggled along and teased, "Or what~?" I recognized that tone. I smirked and replied while holding her chin up with a free hand, "Or I'll lock you up with me inside for all~ eternity." I emphasized the 'all' as I let go of her face, which was infected with blush. She was trying to hide it with an angry expression placed on her face, but I can clearly tell that she was flustered.

Soon after, a waiter approached and greeted us with a French accent, "Welcome to our humble wine farm Monsieur and Mademoiselle Sparks. Here is where you'll sample our freshest wine made by our farmade products. I am Monsieur Cabernet Sauvignon and I'll be your waiter for today. Follow me to your seating arrangement!" We followed Mr. Sauvignon, or 'Monsieur Sauvignon' as he prefers, to our two-seat table. Our table was outdoors with the view being the entire farm. The sun was shining brightly and its rays were gentle on my skin. Little to no clouds were visible and the sky was light, bright blue.We sat down and read the brochure on 'How To Wine Taste Like A Pro.' According to the brochure, there were 5 steps or 5 S's; See, Swirl, Smell, Sip, and Savour. Why are there so many rules for a drink?

I brushed it off and got up from my seat first. I turned to face Leafy, but her face was buried with the brochure. She peeked up from her brochure and laid her eyes onto mine as I stretched out an arm to her. "Wanna get started?" I asked while tilting my head. "Mhm! Let's do it!" She grabbed onto my hand and held it tight. We both spent the entire tried out various types of wine such as Riesling, Malbec, Bordeaux, Merlox, Syrah, and many more USING the stupid 5 S's. We were taste testing Beaujolais, which is a red wine made from German grapes. I smelt the wine and it smelt like there was some rosé which was also made from Germany, and a tiny bit of white wine, probably from Chardonnay grapes. I sipped and savored the flavor as I was identifying what the texture was.

It tasted light and fruity! Not bad at all. I looked at my brochure and searched for the taste gallery. Turns out, it works well with dark, red fruits like strawberries, cherries and raspberries. Now, normal people would swallow something that's in their mouth whether they like it or not, but for wine tasting events we're allowed to spit it out in a nearby field of grass. It's important to keep our pallets fresh. I spat out the Beaujolais wine and placed a mental checkmark on it. Leafy confirmed that her top favorite wines were Riesling, Syrah, and Beaujolais. Perfect, three wine choices for our wedding! Oh...but how do I get out of here and let Monsieur Sauvignon know without Leafy knowing? Hmm...

"I'll be right back, babe!" I called out and was trying to leave. "Huh? Where are you going?" She asked. I had to make something up on the spot. "I–umm, h-have to go to the bathroom..okay, see you!" I dashed out before she could say another word. I went around back, meeting up with the guy I've been meeting to talk to, "Monsieur Sauvignon! We've made our decision. We'll be taking 70 bottles of Syrah, Riesling, and Beaujolais wine. Each." He nodded with glee as he wrote it down on his notepad. "Certainly. Wonderful choices, Monsieur Sparks. I've seen from yesterday you've already made your purchase and just arrived here for the taste testing, oui?" He brought out a receipt which almost looked like a contract, but minus the signing part.

I stared at the receipt as he explained, "This is your receipt for today. Thank you for your purchase. À bientôt!" He left the room and I went on back to get Leafy. She was looking at the grapes and vines with excitement shining in her eyes. "What'cha looking at, Leaflet?" I asked while placing a hand on her shoulder. She noticed and placed her hand on top of mine and whispered, "Just embracing the memories we've made and many more yet to come." A soft smile appeared on my face as she said that. With the happiness contained inside, I planted it on her cheek as I kissed her. "This was nice trip, thanks Firey!" She clutched me in for a hug and I hugged her back. "No problem." But as we were hugging, I felt something drop out of my pocket.

"Oh? What's this?" She tried to pick 'it' up, but I immediately snatched it back and said, "I-It's just extra recommendations, no need to worry! Say, how about we head home? We will have finalization tomorrow anyways." She shrugged her shoulders and we both proceeded to go back to the train station. Our train arrived on time, but as the train doors opened, Leafy and I saw Ruby and...
