The Complex: Chapter 10

Bella's POV

I tap my foot up and down frantically while Ryan and Daria talk animatedly around us. I never knew they were into each other like that. Well, to be honest I've only saw them together once.

We're currently in a tiny booth and I'm sitting next to Daria while Ryan and Grant are sitting in front of us. I'm in front of Grant directly.

Me and Grant, as expected hadn't said a word to each other yet. I've just been awkwardly sipping my drink. I think I need to pee now.

I'm still sipping my drink when it starts to make that annoying noise when its empty. It was rather loud. I look up to see the three staring at me and two of them were giggling.

Wanna take a guess as to who was not?

I throw a quick apologetic smile at them and set my drink down. I tap Daria on the shoulder to get her attention which was currently fixed on Ryan.

"Hey don't we have to use the restroom?" I try and pull her out of the booth.

"I don't but you might considering we just got our drinks and your is already gone." She smirks. I fully drag her successfully out of the booth while saying, "yes you do! your bladders tiny." I hear Ryan chuckle while Daria blushes.

We make it to the bathroom and when the door closer I start talking. "Ok, Daria like what the heck is going on? You know I don't date co-workers and to make it worse hes my freaking boss! what if he thinks I knew this was a double date with him? This is so embarrassing!" I pace back and forth around the bathroom.

"I thought you said this wasn't a date earlier hmm? changing your mind now that you know its him are we?" I just glare at her.

"I'm serious Daria." I pout. "Honey take a deep breath and relax. Ok ill admit, me and Ryan set this up after we decided to go on a date together. We just want to see the two of you happy that's all. and by the way I knew what your worries were so I made sure that Ryan told Grant that you didn't know it was you."

I pause.

"Wait does that mean Grant came knowing that I would be here?" I question. Daria just smirks and nods. "To be honest, Grants pretty stubborn so I didn't think he'd come even if he knew you were going to be here but all it took from Ryan was to mention your name and he was sold I guess? I wasn't going to tell you until he agreed to go."

I nod my head at her story. Seems legit I guess. No wonder she seemed excited and jumpy at 8 AM this morning. I just wonder why Grant would come even when knowing I was here.

Probably to tease me again!

We go back after a few moments cause gosh dang did I actually have to pee! Stupid Hi-C...

We get back to the table to see our food has arrived. We ate our food mainly in silence. For a tiny café, the food was delicious! I can see how its been extremely busy the whole time we have been here.

I'm eating a chicken caesar wrap right now. So goodddd. But oh so messy.

The wrap was very full thus making me seem like the messiest eater in the whole world. I felt some dressing on the corner of my mouth I look down and try to find any napkins but I've already used them already. I internally groan.

I decide to lick the corner of my mouth with my tongue to get it off. As soon as I do so Grant starts to choke on his food. I look up and he's staring my way trying not to cough all over the table.

Ryan and Daria look ever so confused and Ryan hands him his water while patting him on the back. I wonder what happened.

Wrong pipe probably...
