Day of the Expo...
Bella's POV
"Good morning Bella!" I say to myself as I stretch my body out in my bed. Today is it! The day of the expo! Everyone, especially Grant has been looking forward to this day for weeks!
I sigh as I realize Daria deserves to be here more than I should.
I miss her so much.
I get out of bed and start to brush my teeth. I admire my freshly manicured nails as I'm eager to get dressed and do my hair but the expo doesn't start until like 6 PM tonight.
I decide to text Daria that I will tell her about how the expo goes but I don't expect a response. The last few messages she hasn't said anything, just that one text that basically says 'I ain't coming back!' but even if she reads the messages thats better then nothing.
I think she still would want to know how it went considering she spent months helping with the development of the camera.
I hit send and start to run the shower.
After my shower I'm feeling a bit hungry since I just woke up so I decide I'll walk on down to the nearby bakery to get myself a croissant. Its also an excuse to not be in the apartment building.
After the incident a few days ago on the second floor and with having the weird encounter with Ralph yesterday, I'm just not feeling to good about that place.
I walk successfully out of my apartment and into the elevator with the happy music playing. I peak out and don't see Jeff so I book it out of there.
I don't want his presence to spoil my mood!
I end up ordering two croissants because hot darn they're so good and a coffee to go. As I walk back to my car I get a text message from an unknown number.
Unknown: I need help!
I tilt my head in confusion at who it could be from.
Me: Who is this?
I reply back, thinking it could be a wrong number when no other text comes through. Hm thats weird.
A few hours go by as I sit on my couch watching a few movies. Grant let the people who were involved with the project have today off to prepare for the evening so thats nice.
I decide to get ready and I curl my hair a bit and put some light makeup on. I slip into my beautiful and pricey red dress and grab some jewelry to match it.
A beep from my phone catches my attention.
Hey, this is Laney! me and a few others were wondering if you'd like to carpool with us tonight, I'll drive!
I smile. Sure, sounds like fun! I respond.
Sounds good to me anyway because I didn't want to drive in the busy traffic.
As I finish getting ready, I view some other messages from Laney and she said she'll pick me up from my apartment.
Once its time, I grab my phone and matching purse and head to the elevator.
I walk in to hear the little glitchy hums from the broken music speakers in the elevator.
ugh again? I thought Jeff fixed it.
It keeps on breaking, he should just forget the elevator music and get rid of it.
Oh well.
I walk out into the lobby area when I'm stopped by Ralph and Jeff.
