Valerie jumped off the counter straight on top of Lucifer, screaming when everything went dark. The glass of water fell off her hands and shattered into small pieces as it touched the floor. Lucifer cached her in the air before he lighted up some candles with his powers. Once again, he was so close to her that his body started to react. His breath became heavier, and his heart was beating louder than before.

"If you keep falling on me today, I'll start to think you do it on purpose." He said as they both stared at each other. Valerie looked away as she quickly freed herself from Lucifer's hug. Lucifer's smile disappeared in disappointment as she stood next to him. She stayed silent when she saw the broken glass on the floor. She quickly squad next to it as she was trying to clean up her mess.

"I am sorry..." she said as she collected small pieces off the ground to her hand. Lucifer took her hand and pulled her upright, making all the glass she had collected fall back on the floor. She looked at him, shocked, as he couldn't stop looking at her. The little light the candles provided wasn't enough to make her see his expression completely as he came closer to her. He placed his hands on her waist and lifted her body off the ground, placing her sitting on top of the counter. Valerie's heart started beating fast as anxiety took over her body. She couldn't take her eyes off of him. Power came back, making him come back to his senses as he used his powers to clean the shattered glass.

"Don't you ever do anything like that again. What if you had cut yourself?" He said in a sweet tone as she was still staring at him in shock. She finally calmed down when she thought he had just done it for the glass, smiling at him.

"But I didn't! See!" She said playfully as she sawed him her hands. Her gloves had no holes or blood on them. Lucifer laughed at her as he did some steps back. He couldn't believe what he was about to do before power came back. A mixture of relief and disappointment filled his body. Something inside him really hopped she had realized the reality of his actions, but at the same time, he was glad she didn't. He was conflicted between his wants and his reality.

"You were just lucky that time. What if next time you are not?" He said as he went back to preparing breakfast. His heart was still beating fast, but he acted like he was fine.

"Okay, I promise I'll never do it again. Happy now?" She leaned her body to the edge of the counter playfully. Lucifer smiled as he kept making the pancake mixture.

"More than happy!" He said as he looked at her smiling. Valerie smiled as she took her phone out of her pocket. Lucifer quickly ran towards her and snatched her phone off of her hand.

"Hey!" She shouted as she tried to take her phone back, making her almost fall off the counter. Lucifer used his powers to put her back to the counter as he typed his number on and called it before he saved his number on her phone and hers to his. "What was that about?" She asked as he gave her back her phone. She opened it as she tried to see what he had done.

"I'm am not risking not being able to find you again next time..." he said as he looked at her contract in his phone. He laughed when he read 'Cutie Duckie' as her contact name.

"What are you laughing for?" She smiled as she tried to lean towards him to see his screen. He hid his phone on his chest  as she almost falled again. He used his free hand to stop the fall, placing his hand on her forehead as he laughed.

"You are gonna fall if you keep doing that." He said, and they both laughed.

Vox was still pissed with Alastor when he stormed into the living room. Valentino and Velvet were there still sitting on the couch. They both looked at him as he walked, clearly annoyed.

"How does it feel being destroyed by Alastor again?" Velvet smiled sarcastically.

"Shut up!" He screamed at her as he sat next to her.
