"What do you mean? You are not gonna tell me why she did it?" He asked, and she laughed as she went downstairs.
"Nope!" She had already gone down the stairs when he started heading downstairs, too.
"That's not fair! You don't get to start something so important and then cut me midway!" He said, annoyed and followed her to the living room. She sat on the couch and took the plate with the cake on her hands.
"I am not ready for this yet. That was enough for today. " She said as she ate a spoon full of cake. Lucifer stared at her, annoyed, but he wouldn't say anything. He knew it was a very personal thing to say. It was enough for him that she had opened up even if it wasn't the full story. He sat next to her in silence as he tried to eat some cake out of the plate.
"Take your own one!" She pulled the plate away from him and hid it by her side.
"How? You literally have the whole cake!" He said, annoyed as he tried to reach the plate with his hand.
"It's so delicious. I don't want to share anymore!" She said playfully and moved the place further away. Lucifer's heart started to beat faster with her playful attitude. She was so adorable in his eyes.
"You are not playing nice. Sharing is caring!" He said and leaned closer to her in an attempt to grab the plate with cake off of her hands. His hand had almost reached the plate when he turned his head towards her and realized they were too close. She was still looking at the plate, trying to move it even further away. His cheeks felt like they were burning from the sudden closeness. His mind completely emptied as he was staring at her. Her eyes were sparkling as she was laughing. His hand fell down as he got lost in her eyes, completely forgetting what caused that sudden closeness in the first place. Valerie saw he stopped trying to take the cake. She confused, turned her head towards him. Her eyes opened wide when she saw how close he was. Lucifer came back to his senses when he saw he was now face to face with her. His anxiety took over his body as he awkwardly hit her on the forehead with his finger.
"You are such a child, you know that?" He said in an attempt to sound annoyed, but he didn't move away. Valerie raised her eyebrows and crossed her hands.
"You know, I am older than I look!" She said, annoyed. Lucifer laughed as he pulled himself back, placing his hands on his thighs.
"And you still eat like a child? " he continued laughing. "Maybe you would be able to convince me if you didn't have all that chocolate on your face." Valerie's eyes popped out as she tried to find the chocolate on her with her hands.
"Why didn't you say anything?" She said as she was laughing.
"Where's the fun in that?" he laughed as she kept trying to take the chocolate off of her face. Lucifer placed his hand on her cheek and cleaned it for her before he sat properly back to his place.
"How did you manage to have frosting on your cheek?" He laughed, and she touched her cheek where his hand was a second ago.
"I could do it myself, but thank you." She said and turned to grab the plate back. Before she could do it, Lucifer had teleported it on his hand. She stared at him, shocked, and laughed as he was looking at her smirking. "You cheated!" She continued laughing as she took the plate back.
"I wouldn't have to if you shared!" He said and came closer to her. He took his spoon and ate some of the cake while Valerie took the remote and turned on the tv.
"What are we watching?" Valerie asked as she was eating a spoon full of cake. Lucifer took the control off of her hands and opened Hellflix.
"What about Hell-a-novela?" He said, confident. He knew how much Valerie liked Gabriella's and Alexandro's romance. Her eyes sparked, hearing that.
